Line speed was poor at times, as their play the balls were to quick...,our ruck defence wasn't great.....

At times? Most of the game.
And they’re not exclusive. Hard to be dominant in the tackle, if you have no line speed so the opposition is isolating defenders and running with speed themselves

I think his problem when Moses is out is he tries to direct play by dropping behind the play and saying what to do (haphazardly it seems). He’s no good at it. With Moses out, I think he just needs to go “f**k it, you forwards, Iongi, even Lomax, come stick around me. I’ll get the ball 3-4 times per set and dictate where it’s going that way”. It won’t always be effective, he’ll make wrong choices and it’s probably not maintainable, but at least it’ll get the team on the same page. Then we just need to fix our non-existent defence

Yeah, he is just not a Seven, don't seem like he ever will be.

This is loser talk. Sure, we got hammered in the first half and look completely out of our depth, but it's round 1 and no need to throw in the towel. They might beat us. No biggie. For me this season is a full blown learning curve.

I think the team threw this game. You could see the body language before the game. They knew what we all knew that they couldn't win with all the injuries and disruption, and the heat, and just went through the motions.

C) Ryley Smith looks a top prospect....more game time than Hands
D) Doorey, Jack Williams and Tuivaiti had some good runs
E) Lomax is a better goal kicker than Moses but Lomax may also be a better winger than centre
F) Ur only as good as ur last half
G) It's only up from here
