Dunster honestly isn't an NRL player. When fit Waqa is far better. Russel has more potential.

Hodgsons not up to it. Is Hands? He looks better but I still don't think he is anything bar average. He just has to drop him unfortunately. Bad signing.

Davey never should of started over Bryce or Matterson. I would of had Hopgood at prop personaly or Makatoa. Davey is a handy back up. How does he walk into our beat 17.

6 months ago he wasn't the starting halfback of an NRL team. In fact, Foran, Campbell and Brimson were the most likely 1,6 & 7 ( not in that order) during the off season but Holbrook made a decision late in the pre-season to put Boyd at 7. Until that point he was used as a backup 9 and on that sort of money I'd assume (I'll invoke Pou's non-essential need to provide a source here). None of his achievements this season were widely forecast. Yes his next contract will be a healthy one but I'd suggest if you approached a backup hooker as he was last November and said well give you 300, or maybe 350, he'd have jumped at that.

Is it your opinion (this isn’t a gotcha) that a) what he showed before this season warranted a starting hooker position (ignore Hodgson) and b) his performances this year were always going to occur?

We had similar weaknesses last year.
But Moses kicked at 78.5%, not 74.5%.
He does that for the first 10 rounds this year and we probably have 2 more wins.

And I think our biggest player loss is actually Marata. Reliable despite the odd penalty conceded.
