I mean, I obviously don’t know the bloke, but you’re right, everything suggests he is extremely stubborn. Which is as much as anything why I think it’s time for him to go. If you play “my way or the highway” for a decade and come up empty handed, it’s probably time to give someone else a crack.

The team genuinely looks tired. Out of ideas, out of steam. It needs a refresh before it becomes a full rebuild.

- drop Dunster and replace him with anyone else
- start Matto at lock
- drop Hopgood back to the bench
- drop Davey full stop
- put Ogden on the bench
-start Cartwright and Doorey on the edges with Lane out
- would love to drop Junior but there is no one to replace him.
- start Hands and have JA on the bench to cover hooker if necessary.

Yep, we would just make another stupid move. We need a director similar to Gould or a Bellamy style coach. Somebody that knows how to rebuild a football club.
We had the 2nd biggest junior base (might be South's now) but haven't produced any decent first graders for years. A lot of them seep through the cracks eg Paps, Gallen. Because our administration don't know the game. I watch a lot of junior football and U16 games are live streamed on YouTube. Alot of talent but they never end up playing for the eels

Recruitment is an obvious issue.
No NRL winger recruited since Fergo went
No decent back up prop
Hodgson recruited, he goes off and we look a different team , line speed improved and service was better

Dylan Brown looked much better when Hands came on, as he received much better service , he can’t run into space with shit slow dummy half play.

That one prop who can run hard at the line would help,

Again looked like we would score same amount of tries and lose, till that last bomb.

we are a big club and yet in recruitment we don’t act like one, which is frustrating.

Our stats throughout 2023 have been similar all the way through the year.

I'm not sure Brad Arthur is having much of an impact in addressing these things with the playing group...

I can't believe people at the start of the year thought he was a great signing. It was extremely obvious he would struggle. He was done at the Raiders before his year long injury
