People blaming the ref. Yeah sure he’s crap. But really? Have the refs been the problem for the whole season?

instead of focusing on the refs how about they focus on team selections, the defensive structures, attacking structures which have all been so poor. We have been terrible all year. I can’t see us winning our next 5 games.

Yep 100% remember when BA was resigned in 21 because the players would all stay...

Of course you can, you just have to get there early enough and plant your feet.

The NRL hasn't been enforcing a lot of rules for a long time, this is one of them, which is probably the issue.

You can't just obstruct a defender from getting to the ball unless you're also competing for the ball. 99% of the time the player goes around the player who is obstructing them. I'm surprised more players don't do what Wighton did to be honest.

If that's the game plan don't start with Hopgood and use Matto until the offload is allowed. The kid was always looking to offload.

He’s warped. Don’t remind me. The clown has a weird ways of unmotivating his players. He said himself a few months back he does not motivate his players he expects them to fit themselves. This, coupled with our complete and utter blaze approach from all concerned to just about everything we do on the field meant we were never any hope this year.

Dylan became involved when Hodgson departed as Hands is quicker to the ruck, passes off the ground quicker and provides space by doing it. Unfortunately Hodgson is a handbrake given his slow service and arm grabbing and lack of speed. Imagine what the Simmonson try would have been if Hodgson had to back up the big line break, wouldn’t have happened. Playing him for more than 25 minutes doesn’t seem to work.

I wouldn’t play him at all. He is awful. That way you can show your intentions early and convince him that it’s over. If he runs around next year again and steals a living with his presence for even a minute it would be a catastrophe.

Yep we need to move on from Hodgson playing him will give him the idea 2024 is available. How can we see it but baldy can not...

Andrew Johns said the Knights knew they would beat us in ‘01 because they treated it like any other game while we didn’t. The fact is if you lose you can pretend you knew why in advance. Gould predicted we would beat the Cowboys (despite being underdogs) and lose to the Panthers (as underdogs). He didn’t say it had anything to do with our preparation (which was good enough to win a massive game in North Queensland). It was easy to predict the grand final result. We were paying over $3 ffs. You don’t need to think up things we should have done differently. No matter what we did we were relying on Penrith f**king up for us to win it.
