I have never said he needs to stay forever. I have consistently tried to get you merkins thinking about resourcing. Until we improve that you are barking up the wrong tree blaming everything on the coach. However this ‘popular opinion’ certainly makes it easier for the club to blame the coach and avoid making the required changes to resourcing.

Do you get it? You think it’s enough to blame the coach, and when I point out we need to be bigger as a club, you accuse me of playing devils advocate. Here’s a hint. The bloke you see talking at the pressers doesn’t run the club. There’s plenty of people above him, a mere employee, who have far more influence on the long term strength of the NRL team and the success of the coach.
Yeah... Nah!
You're just an apologist for mediocrity and BA.
A legal bloke told me that so it must be true, but it's okay because @Gronk and I are too.

I wouldn’t play him at all. He is awful. That way you can show your intentions early and convince him that it’s over. If he runs around next year again and steals a living with his presence for even a minute it would be a catastrophe.

The possitive is he has a player option meaning we can get the old fart off our books /cap and offer him a job at the local antique store.

Andrew Johns said the Knights knew they would beat us in ‘01 because they treated it like any other game while we didn’t. The fact is if you lose you can pretend you knew why in advance. Gould predicted we would beat the Cowboys (despite being underdogs) and lose to the Panthers (as underdogs). He didn’t say it had anything to do with our preparation (which was good enough to win a massive game in North Queensland). It was easy to predict the grand final result. We were paying over $3 ffs. You don’t need to think up things we should have done differently. No matter what we did we were relying on Penrith f**king up for us to win it.

Titans where paying $3 against us last week.

Imagine how the Storm must feel missing their million dollar fullback. Munster missing games,Olam, Big Nelson.....
Seriously we've had a fairly light injury toll. Nearly every side has injuries. Have we played a side who wasnt missing atleast 2 guys from their best 17?
Fair call, but that is are long standing resilient team, this is not something we've really ever been....ever...

We will revisit this topic after the Souths game. There will definitely be another attempt to polish a turd.

Dylan became involved when Hodgson departed as Hands is quicker to the ruck, passes off the ground quicker and provides space by doing it. Unfortunately Hodgson is a handbrake given his slow service and arm grabbing and lack of speed. Imagine what the Simmonson try would have been if Hodgson had to back up the big line break, wouldn’t have happened. Playing him for more than 25 minutes doesn’t seem to work.
Careful

you will be castigated for even suggesting Hodgson is less than fantastic.

Last year we where very good
This year we are very bad

Call it for what it is
The point is we had the same coach both years. I think every coach has had good years and bad years. The exceptions are Bennett, whose worst season was 10 wins (which he achieved twice at Newcastle), and Bellamy, who has only ever coached at Melbourne, a massively wealthy club that won a premiership before it ever missed the finals. The Storm have never won fewer than nine games in a season.

Poor Brad -after ten years he still can’t get a say on recruitment, selections, tactics or motivation

Many coaches get their prep wrong in their first GF. It also wasn’t like our squad was full of players with GF experience either. I’m not going to lay the boot into BA for that one. He would have done what he thought was best, and whilst that ended up being proven wrong, it was his first time.
Brian Smith f**ked up our prep in 01 when we only had to play our basic game to win the comp, and he had already played in what 2 or 3 GFs?
it happens

The Tackle: Brad Arthur is wrong to blame referees for Parramatta’s free fall after latest NRL defeat

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur teed off on the referees after his side fell to their seventh defeat of the season – but he’s kidding himself if he can’t see who is really at fault, writes Paul Crawley.

Where are these types of articles when Ricky Stuart blames the ref's pretty much every week? Sometimes even if they win!

Yeah the gutless lickspittle has had ample opportunities to sink the boot in to the worst offender of all in this sphere...but nah, he'd rather overlook it all and just blow Sticky kisses any chance he gets instead... Another joke "journalist" on the News Ltd payroll that nobody likes....
