We just needed to chase the collision and worry about our affort area's lol, don't worry about game plan, attacking structures or attention to detail. None of them matter for Bushie, he's done a fine job getting us to where we are but he's not capable of taking us to the next level.

And how does gutherson playing 5/8th solve that? .... if our roster is poo, then so be it. Movinggutho from his best position to somewhere he wont do any better at wont do diddly

We need to inject speed and unpredictable play into the equation. Have to work out how.

That was so disappointing. I thought we had improved. But that panic merchants shit still lies beneath the surface. Huge credit to Manly, they obviously deserves the win. Turbo, he could be one of the greats if he can stay injury free. Shuster was awesome as well.

As for our whole team. They were all crap. As for Blake I was his fan and I really wanted him to do well but that Manly game plan was based about him being in the team. He was targeted and they exploited him to the max. He needs to never see the light of first grade again

Well said Jake. Simply out coached. If Walsh played a full game last week for the Warriors its back to back losses.
We play on energy. 10 points down and we folded like a cheap suit. I thought Moses had turned the corner. Even Gutherson was pathetic tbh.

Are you sure he was the one targeted? Arthur's attempted 30 tackles ffs.

He looks a bit robotic and slow. I think your assessment was spot on. He might carve out an NRL career but that will be more based on hard work and determination then natural ability.

He earns his paycheck by getting his squad to meet expectations over the course of a full season. He earns a raise by getting them to overachieve. If they underachieve in consecutive seasons he will get the sack.

I agree. Consider me opinionly rebuked.

That's how I saw it, too.

Jake Arthur is a great young player, but he's not ready for the demands of regular First Grade yet.

I dare say that had Dylan Brown been playing, he keeps the scoreline closer...

I feel it might be worth Brown moving to centres and W.Smith being called up.
Could kill two birds with one stone.
Arthur shouldn't be rushed. I reckon he needs 2 full seasons in NSW cup.

Should we sign Skeletor?

But not in the first half. The Moses long ball to Fergo, Bryce’s stupid nothing kick on the 4th, and Gutho’s half-chip to Sivo were all in the first half when we were even or only down by a score.
.

and Mattersons offload attempt off the ground and the middle forward (not sure which one maybe Paulo) forward pass in front of the posts 10 out, also happened in the first half....

additionally there was Sivo’s break where he slowed down, then gave it to Moses (I think), who then f**ked up a simple draw and pass to Gutho (passes way too soon) for a try

For my ultimate sin, I was there for both games, if Waqa and Fergo were terrible in NRL, Pensini and Dunster were just as bad in reggies.

The reserve grade missed Jakob as much as first side missed Dylan.

Ponder this, Manly scored all 5 tries down the side usually patrolled by Marata and Dylan, and the last try - Fergo got stood up by freaking Reuben Garrick.

Opacic , Gutho and RCG were up to standard, the rest had basically awful games where decision making went out of the window, replaced by hero plays and lost balls

Nothing wrong with solid first graders, assuming he becomes one.

I think if we had Dylan Brown out there today, we would have kept the score closer, and maybe even given it a fair shake - for all the criticism he cops, he runs the ball well, and I'd (at this stage) a better kicker than Jake.

I've no doubt that Arthur will have a good First Grade career - but he's way off Brown's pace atm.

Actually thought Opacic was our best on field. He’s solid as hell. Might even be the best value bloke in the team.

I reckon we did chase the collision and effort was good.

did we even drop the ball coming out our our half?
While how many sets did manly get in our 20 ? Not many....

we actually made more metres with less runs.

really the seniors players stuffed up today, Moses, Gutho , matterson....they played to frantic didn’t take control. I mean FFS what are Gutho/ Moses passes to the wingers meant to achieve?? Horrible!!
