Well, I had a TIA (mini-stroke) at work on Thusday afternoon. Ended up in hospital. Still here. Pondering the future, etc. But watched that game last night, and it really cheered me up. What a f#cking amazing performance! One of the best Eels wins I've ever seen. I really thought Souths would put 50 on us. So proud of that team. The bloke in the bed next to me was a Souths supporter, too. Lol.

It think it reinforces the frustration when we play bad.

The team is good enough we shouldn't be in the position we are in.

After what we did last night to our bogey side should mean we fear no one.

Our record against the likes of Penrith and Melbourne is better then 90% of the comp.

This is why we need a better coach. We would have won a premiership already. He is a handbrake ffs!

Yeah it was sweet and a great night.

Got home at 2:30am was able to sober up getting the metro from Wynyard back to the hills.

A box we had was shared with this souths fan who paid 30k to be a corporate sponsor of Cody Walker for the match. He wasn't apart of our group.

But he was waffling on before the game how Latrell and Cody will tear us to shreds. It's indigenous round and Souths have the best indigenous culture in the game.

The bloke left with 10 mins to go. Even though the bar fridge was still getting topped up.

What a poxy jersey they had too. Some people were rapping it but for mine it was not a good look at all, especially on the tele. Our on the other hand looked awesome. I normally don't care to much either way for these types of jerseys but I thought this years has been our best.

I think that boomerang gave it that V shape balance that made the difference.

He hasn't played any grades for a few weeks so I assume injured. Him and Murchie are options for 2nd row if fit.
Davey is no better then either.

Last night we attacked differently. We moved the ball every set. And we offloaded heaps more in the middle. It was good to see. Our back also did a lot more work. Simmonson was electric

Hopgood is the key.

If we can minimise our on the back foot games and play with more authority up front and the backs also contributing to the forward momentum like we did last night, then Hopgood and Junior will keep the ball in place in a way that opposition teams just can not combat against effectively.

Hopgood is the best off loader I have seen in quite a while and the best in the NRL. Opposition coaches and teams are going to really start to do their homework on him now. It is incumbent upon our coaching staff and players to make sure we work out ways to make it very hard for them to do so and the best way to do that is for the rest of the team to run direct and as hard as possible to wear out their tacklers. Hopgood will do the rest.

Sounds simple, but think of what Bennett would do if he had Hopgood in his team and was playing the middle 3rd game he is playing now. Hopgood would be unstoppable. Even junior hasn't got his offload.

BA or the players realised we had to try something different and go away from the normal game plan.

Hopefully it forces a change into a way we play.

Moses is the best short side halfback in the comp the first try to Russell there was barely any room and they did it perfectly.

You could see the disappointment in Inglis’ face when Brown received the medal. You just know he fully expected to give it to Latrell or Walker.
