Latrell is a very good player - when he wants to be .... but boy he is a lazy prick, which just isnt good for a fullback these days.

Hopgood is the key.

If we can minimise our on the back foot games and play with more authority up front and the backs also contributing to the forward momentum like we did last night, then Hopgood and Junior will keep the ball in place in a way that opposition teams just can not combat against effectively.

Hopgood is the best off loader I have seen in quite a while and the best in the NRL. Opposition coaches and teams are going to really start to do their homework on him now. It is incumbent upon our coaching staff and players to make sure we work out ways to make it very hard for them to do so and the best way to do that is for the rest of the team to run direct and as hard as possible to wear out their tacklers. Hopgood will do the rest.

Sounds simple, but think of what Bennett would do if he had Hopgood in his team and was playing the middle 3rd game he is playing now. Hopgood would be unstoppable. Even junior hasn't got his offload.

I think he is better because he doesn't run out of steam like TPJ. Hopgood actually makes around 40 tackles a game and the metres and the offloads.

TPJ usually comes on in a bluster and then dies in the arse very quickly. He has risen my expectations of him to many times now and he ends up being a disappointment. Maybe when the Dogs have a healthier roster we can see what he can and can't do/maintain.

But for mine Hopgood is the better all round player and safer off loader too.

Well, I had a TIA (mini-stroke) at work on Thusday afternoon. Ended up in hospital. Still here. Pondering the future, etc. But watched that game last night, and it really cheered me up. What a f#cking amazing performance! One of the best Eels wins I've ever seen. I really thought Souths would put 50 on us. So proud of that team. The bloke in the bed next to me was a Souths supporter, too. Lol.
