How good was the go forward from our outside backs! They stepped up to cover our missing props in attack and Hodgson stepped up to cover them in defence. Great team effort.

Our backs were very good in yardage, probably our best performance all year in that regard, also Dylbro shored up our middle defence there early in the set on numerous occasions when our forwards were a little slow getting into the line. 37 tackles, 3 missed 3 ineffective is a big effort from a half, and with a good chunk of them in the middle that's exceptional.

He took a lot of tough runs without getting driven back. It’s something his teammates appreciate even if most fans don’t even notice.
I notice everything, and the fact u are happy he wasn’t driven back (which he was) just validates my comment, though with u there is no middle ground it’s either pous way or no way, such an arrogant comment regarding fans not noticing!!!!! by the way I see gutho and other senior players often have a crack at the dumb shit sivo does, maybe ur not as observant as u think u are, anyway whatever I wait for the usual arrogant retort

We are stuck with him for the rest of the season, Bea has to figure out a way to limit his involvement while bringing Hands along. Not an easy job but Hands has fitted into first grade seamlessly. Makes you wonder where he was last year when we needed a bench utility????

Hodgo doing 20 - 40 is fine, for the most part he's improved as the season has gone on, last night was the exception, some decent defence, but really lacked in attention to detail, particularly those dumb early penalties and sloppy service too many times.

I don’t he has improved much at all, he was ok against South’s and average against Canberra but other wise bar round one he’s been awful. Last night he was a penalty magnet put in a shit 4th tackle kick and his service is still poor. If we had other options he’d of been taken out the back and shot by now.

He is getting the tap.

I think now the best we can do is roll how are are. Hodgson for 25 and let Hands take the other 55. Hands starting to run more as he gets more experience. He will slowly get better. Handy ball player as well.
I think we have nomother option right now. Maybe by rnd 20 when all our forwards are fit we can consider Bryce covering for 20mins

I reckon for the most part he's doing a job, but agree nowhere near as good as we would want. I thought he'd start the season slow, but expected his service and game smarts to be much better than they are.

Yeah first 20 - 40 mins depending on how he's going, last night probs should have been closer to 20 than the thirty he got. Mind you losing Joffa after 10 doesn't help there as with the big boppers having to do more minutes it means you're gonna also need more effort areas in defence from hooker to cover

That try saver by Brown is all time for me. Up there with One of the best. The fact that he was initially beaten and arc his way around and get “The Chad” just before the line was phenomenal.
Dylan deserved to get bagged for how he started the year but he’s been very good in the last 3-4 games.

Hopgood was great did a lot of work.
Penisini was dangerous.
Hands was very good and you can tell the difference compared to his nursing home comrade Hodgson was again just rubbish.
Moretti had a solid debut. What I liked about him was he just got straight in. Didn’t hold back with his runs.

Yet Morretti remains outside the top 30 and no contract along with Grieg and Bryce while we sign the 3 amigos Davey, Moimesea,Murchie.
Let's hope these signings don't cost us any of these guys.
At the time the value would of been about the same.

Simmonson is starting to fly. I like him. Rips in.

The Russell no try was correct
A few others went against us
I’ve not seen a ref just completely remove himself from the game like that and the cows just laid all over us
He was more asleep than the Cows were in tackles. The no tries were fine, we’d be pissed if they were given tries against us but the shit in the ruck made it a really shit game. If he reffed the whole game like the 5 minute period in the second half, we’d have scored a 1000

That’s a joke. What’s O’Neil and BA doing? If our joker coach hadn’t played favourites with his son for so long maybe they would have had an opportunity off the bench last year to show what they can do. Instead we discover now that they more than capable off handling first grade. Problem is other clubs would have noticed and most likely making offers.

On the game. I thought it was a bludger of a game. A bit boring and low quality. There was a few standouts and good moments.
The game never should of become a nail bitter one up 18-6
Things went our way a bit and there's also. But Guths had a few brain fart moments I thought during the game. Moses I don't feel took control enough in that period when Cowboys come back. It would of beena nervous final 4 mins had the peanut not passed off the kick off when it got so close.

A lot of decent individual performances. Also going to struggle when you lose your starting prop after 10mins . Any news in his injury?
The pack once everyone is fit will be top 3min comp. Injuries suck but what it is doing for Greig and Bryce right now is only going to make us stronger come the back end of the year.
