How much did they beat the Cowboys and Roosters by?In fairness, the Dogs have randomly beaten us, the Roosters and the Cowboys in Townsville this season.

He’s seriously a pelican.
You’re not serious, are you? Like, we’re past the point of you posting in good faith and you’re just openly trolling now, right?
Trolley guy from Woolies. He wants to sign LodgeI've been saying for years we should bring him back as head of football. No one is better at setting up junior pathways and putting systems in place. Instead we went out and signed a bloke not good enough for the West Tigers.
The merkin reportedly took a pay cut a few years ago. Or do you expect him to get the arse after every loss? The coach is never held accountable for anything
There is no way this board, who have ultimately been chosen for one thing, corporate responsibility, would sack the coach with 2 1/2 seasons left on a contract. It would be pretty irresponsible corporately to do so. Whether it leads to the team heading to the bottom ladder would be fairly irrelevant to someone who is corporately responsible. Us coming last would not impact either of our two largest sponsors (NRL and Parra Leagues) and the amount of money they provide to us.I haven’t had the displeasure of watching the game yet and maybe you can tell by my posting style that I don’t usually throw the baby out with the bath water following a loss. I will say this though… results like today’s often sound the death knell for coaches and we’ve had two of them this season alone.
Funnily enough getting up for games that matter doesn't seem to be so much of an issue for this group so far this season.I think we can pretty much write off top 4 after dropping the game today and the earlier one to Wests. We have a pretty tough draw from here on (games against Penrith and Melbourne, twice v Brisbane, twice v Souths who we just can’t seem to beat, Manly away), and you cannot drop what should be a gimme two points in these sorts of games and have any serious chance of top 4.
It was a closer contestHow much did they beat the Cowboys and Roosters by?
I’m not so sure about that. I’m fairly certain there was an article when he re-signed last year that said there were performance terms in the contract providing for a limited payout if he is terminated early. If that’s accurate, then hopefully money won’t be too big a factor in whatever happens with him. There is no way this board, who have ultimately been chosen for one thing, corporate responsibility, would sack the coach with 2 1/2 seasons left on a contract. Ultimately the only way Brad Arthur won't be the coach of Parra for the next 2 1/2 seasons, is if he finds another gig.
You make a very sound points. With a few leaving next season, I can only hope they’re replaced with others who are perhaps mentally tougher and turn up each and every week. There is no way this board, who have ultimately been chosen for one thing, corporate responsibility, would sack the coach with 2 1/2 seasons left on a contract. Surely making the Top 8 would be 'performing' though? It would difficult to move him on if we're still making the Top 8.I’m not so sure about that. Knowing our club and what passes for ‘performing’, yeah that’s quite possible. Hopefully it’s a bit more robust than that, though (and let’s not count our chickens just yet about a top 8 finish for the year).Surely making the Top 8 would be 'performing' though? It would difficult to move him on if we're still making the Top 8.
Who's defending them? I thought they were shit, and what's more, I half expected it. I had $20 on the f**ken Dogs ffs. This is a team waiting for September. I'm alarmed at their lack of leadership. I haven't liked that Gutho merkin since he let his manger f**k us around last negotiations and I like him less after the latest farce. And if Arthur's is his best mate then he can get f**ked too.Everyone is f**king plop!!! You happy??? I know Pou is he gets a massive boner when Parra are this mediocre. It's when he comes alive. Defend defend defend!!!

100%. It should be obvious to everyone. We haven't had good leadership in the squad since the late 90s.I think there is a leadership problem both on and off the field.
It doesn't mean every coach has an equally good team ffsWhich is why all the shit you type about that in game day threads is actually redundant.
Who's shocked? We continually sign dumb lazy players and then we are all shocked when they are dumb and lazy lol.
I’d counter that by asking if it was “corporately” responsible to keep the clown on for 9’years despite his success in the wooden spoon variety and constant choking. There is no way this board, who have ultimately been chosen for one thing, corporate responsibility, would sack the coach with 2 1/2 seasons left on a contract.
