Damn you parra fans are hard to please
Reality it was a wet track bringing the dragons closer on a dry track you thump them by 40. It was Mcgregors last game always dangourus to play any team .If at the beginning of the year I told you that you would have lost only 2 or 3 games you all would said I will take that
Your are in the semi finals for sure and you will be top 4 .No shame being behind the mighty panthers.

1) One out crap inside our own half;
2) Boring, predictable crap inside the opposition 20;
3) Sivo needs to go, Blake needs to go, N. Brown is close, as is Jennings (but you can't drop too many at once) - play Dunster and Taka in the 3/4s next week.

We still have, I think, the best forward pack in the comp. We kill the total metres gained every week. The problem is, we offer nothing but hard running. No multiple lines, no choices for the defensive line, no deception with the ball, no unexpected movements wide, and we've basically stopped the offloads (which were our greatest threat).

Still got heaps of talent, but we've become boring and predictable. And we're getting what we deserve.

You want to drop NBrown?
I reckon we need to limit his minutes to about 55 and give Stone and Marata more.
Sivo issue is what he brings to what he costs you. Close to line he is great but the guys slow, poor reads in defense and garbage under the bomb.

I'd consider Blake onto the wing to get him more involved. Salmon or Taka into centres or even Jordan Rakin

Nice of you to say, but we have been pretty ordinary for 6 weeks now. We have dropped a gear while you guys and the Storm continue to improve.

I wrote last night that we are a fringe top 8 side who have overachieved and I honestly think we’ll be found out badly next week based on recent form.

I very much doubt it.

While we have done well to win games in the past 6 weeks, we have been lucky:

* we were lucky that Shaun Johnson forgot his goal-kicking shoes

* we were lucky that the Bulldogs' hooker is dog shit bad, and that Lachlan Lewis is a scrubber (Foran was destroying us single-handedly)

* we were lucky that a few calls went against Newcastle

* we were lucky that the Tigers still employ Moses Mbye

We have been playing terribly for well over a month now, and we got what we deserved.

I'm not convinced of top 4. Still have Souths,Storm and Panthers to play. Need to win atleast one or two of those.
Canberra and Knights have very soft draws. Both coukd go close to undefeated or drop maybe 1 game.

Penrith are just starting to click. Unsure in finals how they go. I feel Eels will lift as have a lot of older experience guys who will thrive.
I reckon Raiders might even do some damage come finals. Last year took a lot out of them. They are flying under radar a bit but I think they might go on a run an may even take Roosters top 4 spot.

The thing I noticed most was in the attacking 20, we had noone running options at angles for our playmakers, which caused all the sideways plays. There were times when Moses had to physically call the player to run unders, that should be automatic in these players if they can read the play well enough. Have more people in motion in the plays which puts doubt in the oppositions defensive decisions

Agree. We also could of lost to Raider in Golden Point and should of lost to Manly first ime around bar a howler from ref.
Only just sqeaked past the Dogs in round one. A lot of work to do and I feel we are not a genuine top 4 side.

The Dragons were quite ordinary to be honest, we just didn’t want it at all.

Their intensity better increase significantly next week cause the Storm won’t dish up the same garbage the Dragons dishes up last night.

A really good chance for us to get the obligatory yearly 50 point thrashing next week.......
I actually thought the dragons were good in the conditions

their kicking game was outstanding. How many times was gutho returning it from our 10 .... and their wingers were great - hard runs in the conditions, especially pierera

1000% .... there were no runners putting doubt in the defense - apart from our first try

we looked tired

We aren’t a threat thru our dummy half. In fact the only time we look a little good is when Gutho runs from there. We need an attacking 9.

We need Mahoney to be allowed to attack. He's got a great kicking game (but seldom uses it); he's quick and can scoot out of dummy half (but seldom does). He does 5 million tackles a game and the 'attacking organisation' is left to Moses (who is really an exceptionally talented five-eight, but not a natural organiser). And then there's Dylan Brown, who's probably a more natural half-back than Moses is. The elements are there for a very good spine. But the balance is out. Moses should never be told "this is your team to run". It should be a thing that's shared between Brown, Moses and Mahoney. Maybe Mahoney is a bit inexperienced yet, to take on more responsibility - and maybe the coaching staff know this. It would be great for them to get it right, though, because these three players could be brilliant together if they ever got the balance right.

Yeah going by the way our hookers have played, I’m not sure reed is able to play his natural game. I think BA just wants a service DH that can tackle.

We won’t be going anywhere quickly.

We played in a similar fashion to how both ourselves and Penrith played last season, only we had better strike . The Riff then employed a new attack coach and are seeing the rewards.

we have had the same attack coach for 7 years, maybe it’s not the head coach that needs refreshing but asst coaches turned over to keep the message different and introduce some new ideas. Loyalty is good and bad , it’s a choice to move on that could benefit everyone.

One thing I noticed last night towards the end of the game was Moses going off at Reed for a short kick from dummy half inside the Dragons 10. Nothing came of it and the Dragons got the ball so it wasn't the best option or the best execution... however, Moses had had 77 minutes to do something inside the opposition 20 and didn't do anything that got us points, so good on Mahoney for at least trying something different.

That short kick was crap. Straight into the opposition legs and then he knocked it on . Moses has been giving it to Mahoney a lot lately inside the opposition 20. Mahoney's decision making and execution is piss poor close to the line. Moses doesn’t always get the execution right but at least he usually makes decent decisions.
