You know what I don’t get?

Last week, we held a Storm reggies side to nil, and all and sundry declared that we are not serious contenders.

Then last night, Souths belt us, and everyone loses their minds, saying that they are the real deal?

You can't have it both ways - either we are not the real deal (and thus, belting us proves nothing), or we are the real deal (and belting us makes a statement).

You can't have it both ways.

Terrible performance last night.

The measure of this team and coaching staff will be how they respond for the rest of the season. No club with a winning culture puts up with that type of performance.

If you want to win premierships just ask yourself, extension for 2 more years or not, if we were managed by Nick Politis, would he put up with these sorts of performances?

Especially if we go into the semis and offer very little. What do you think Politis would do and would he not see if the old coot were interested in coming here or at the very least just get rid of the guy who consistently fails to deliver and bring in the very best of what is on offer either experienced or rookie? But to keep doing the same thing year in year out is madness and anathema to success.

We have a gun side now. There are no more excuses. The bloke can't coach to win a premiership. It is that simple.

Why? If a player needs dropping to improve his performance, he’s not a first grader. He needs to work on his shithouse tackling technique is what he needs. Bend your f**ken waist!
The problem is Waqa Blake can’t defend at a first grade level. His attack does not offset this.

I honestly saw a different team at the start of the year - patient, composed, sticking to game plans, ruthless in defence.

I consider that team to be our best, and at the very least, that team could push Penrith, Melbourne, and the Roosters.

But over the last 2 months, this team has regressed so quickly, that it's quite startling.
I still believe that we were intentionally underplaying ourselves the past while, but there has to be a minimum standard for the team and each player, and last night was so very very below any acceptable standard to be f**king embarrassing. Not to mention that last night wasn’t a game that we should’ve been coming anywhere near whatever that minimum standard was!

Seriously I think his defence is ok. But you can be the most aware and best decision maker, it doesn’t mean shit if you can’t actually stick a tackle

We’ll have to agree to disagree on that one. His decision making is dreadful, evidenced by the number of times he is caught in no-man’s land. His technique is embarrassing, based on the number of failed arm grabs. His attitude is rubbish as he has failed to address either of these things throughout the season.

The incompetent merkin has to go.

Much of what I have just posted could be said for Sivo.

I thought we were poor last week and it showed me we are miles away from the top sides. We had a 8-1 penalty count and a bloke in the bin and could still only cobble together 2 tries against the Sunshine Coast Falcons. They didn’t throw much at us in attack and even then they were unlucky not to score a try or two.

Another Premiership window wasted, but I’m fine with that I have resigned myself to the fact I will never ever see us win another comp. At least I remember winning the last couple. We are now the new North Sydney Bears.
