It didn’t help, mate. That sort of scoreline against a very ordinary side doesn’t happen without a fullback who’s all at sea in defence.
Yep. Getting destroyed in the middle is definitely Iongi’s fault. I’m waiting with bated breath for your next pearl of wisdom

How come when you have criticism it's only towards iongi?
Sorry, for the sake of clarity on my part, it’s been a dreadful performance across the board. But Iongi is well and truly part of that.

People don’t seem to realise the part that the fullback plays in organising the defensive line. That is far and away the most important thing Gutherson did for us for years. The lack of his leadership is being shown tonight. How is that a controversial statement?

Putrid performance that half.

Hope Ryles rips it up these cowards. Senior players and leaders need to lead - looking at you Junior, Dylan, Lomax, Williams, even Lussick.

All I can hope for from is an improved showing in the second half, playing like they should have to start with. And the key measure is defence, letting in 5 first half tries is not acceptable and need to be corrected.

The first part of your sentence it actually true too.
Penisini would have taken better care of that right edge than Samrani has.
Samrani is never going to be a first grader. It’s no surprise that Saints have attacked that edge with success from the get go.
