So we come to the last third of the regular season. Have we been sitting back waiting for this period to make our run for the Finals?
We have 8 games, 7 on either a Thursday or Friday night, and 6 at Comm Bank. Anything less than a Top 4 finish from here is a significant failure.
BUT
We know who these muppets are.
We've gone WIN-LOSS-WIN-LOSS for a couple of months now. This is a LOSS week. Can we change this sequence?
We've not shown a propensity for turning up in the right frame of mind for games we should win this season. Why will we do it this week? I can't see us with our mind on the jobs, unless we've been waiting for this time to make our run.
If Junior doesn't end up playing, no Matterson, and we've dropped Brown from the Reserves, then this just sends a message from the coaching staff to the playing group that this match is not important.
If Junior plays (even if he is on the bench and treated like our standard 17th man) then it sends a message that the time for talk ends and the time for action starts now.
We'll learn a lot about this mob tonight, both coaching staff and players.
Do we win and win well, struggle to get the win, or do we get a score put on us by another bottom 4 side? The end result tells us plenty of where we're at.
Interesting game tonight.
