I Waqa continues his great form on the wing he may stay there. Who knows. I like him at centre but he was excellent yesterday.
Him and Sivo carting it back causes issues for opposition. Without Sivo there what we now know is he isn't the fault why sides are scoring out wide so easily. It still is happening.

Pensini has a centre spot covered. It would mean finding another. Who knows, Louizo may step up. Opacic is not terrible. His defense is great. Just bad attack.

Mahoney imo isn't 80min player. He will burn out. Let's see how Hands and Rein go over the next 4 weeks.

As far as other bench spots go Stone,Kafusi,Makatoa are far from safe.

Stone isn't big enough, Makatoas legs speeds to slow and Kafusi who is the best of lot is one dimensional.

Greig,Cartwright,Rodwell all have more x factor then any of them. It's just their defense isn't as good.

Once Matto and Marata are back I'd rather see N.Brown and Papa on bench. Bringing some super charge to the side.
Rein/Hands/Bryce might be the 14 and all would give some spark.
Greig certainly would also give some x factor if able to sort his defense......

BA has picked his best side for the first 2 rnds. Buy these guys all have a chance to push for bench spots. There may even be a few others like Morreti for example. The good thing is that there is a few spots up for grabs if you can earn it.

Started well. Strong carries. But to me he is a one trick pony. Dos have good leg speed and better then Makatoa and Stone. He can break tackles and if used for the crash play would be one of hardest to stop.
His work rate can be a bit average and I don't trust his hands. Even before he butchered that try I knew he was about to

This continued selection of Jake Arthur will make plenty of noise if we start losing a few. It reeks of nepotism.

Also Papa has been shit for us and couldn’t give a f**k that he’s leaving. Our bench as always and the rotation of it has been pure shit. This has always been a bad element of BA’s coaching.

I noticed him falling a few tackles in his second stint, I think I called him a slug in the game thread. I had high hopes for him as a player, looks like he’ll head to another club to be fully developed.

I rate the Sharks as a top 8 side. Bar Wade Graheme they where full strength.
We had Marata,Sivo,Russel,Matterson out. I won't count Haze as its him or Russel.
Away from home and should of won. Not terrible result looking back.

I will reserve judgement untill rnd 10. Early signs of first two rounds suggest to me we are finishing 6th-10th.

According to some we had the best depth in the competition though that we could afford Nathan Brown to start in reggies round 1 even if he wasn't fully match fit.

Papa has his big money contract now i would throw him back to the bench for impact coming on after 20 mins in the middle when Junior and RCG come off.

In terms of Jake if we did a poll on here asking everyone do they believe he should be playing first grade i reckon 85% would say no.

Kaufusi has terrible hands.
Papalii is not an 80 min player and does have that lapse in concentration leading to missed tackles and pressure on in his outside men when playing back row.
Opacic is an excellent defender and a great hole runner but no-one knows how to set him up properly.
Makatoa is an admirable performer and can't fault his commitment but probably too slow.
The games I've seen of Rodwell and Greig is enough for me to have them ahead of Makatoa and Kaufusi. Kaufusi is leaving and not better than those in Reserve grade. I believe Ogden asks more questions of the opposition.
Next time Kaufusi is in a 1st grade jersey is at the Sharks. I've put a line through him.
Utility has to be Cartwright or Perham if we want versatility on the bench.
Next week will let us know where we are really at as a club.
I hope Ennis who is very switched on has influence because the scoreline yday was not a true reflection and really flattered us.
