Rd21: Parra v Souths GAME DAY THREAD @ cbus stadium 6/8/21

I picked us to come 10th. Not based on squad but the coach having nothing new to add.

I think he has added even less this year, better squad with a far worse result. We were lucky there were only 20 rounds last year we were going the same way.

Just go into the NRL forum no one rates him they are all shocked he still has a job.

We start the year strong. Players are fresh. Come towards end of season we are bruised and banged up from playing our power game.
In finals we may have enough energy to get one big game. But probably not two. And certainly not 3.

Yeah I was surprised by our lack of effort last week. Maybe they should've front loaded? It would've been a lot closer.

I got ripped for saying we had our weaknesses hidden in Titans game who where the more dangerous side bar when down to 12 men and we piled on 3 tries which killed the contest.

We did the same against Tigers. And almost blew a 24-0 lead over the Warriors.

We are not improving as a side.

of course, but then they did have Ennis at hooker, Graham/Lewis on the edge, Maloney at 5/8, Holmes at winger….reckon they wouId all make us a better side …

Hindy, our forwards front loaded the first half of the season. They are now busted

So what's the solution? Either find them a position or do not re sign them.
BA persists with them. It isn't working. Githerson hasn't the speed or power to be a fullback. D.Brown has zero creativity to be a half in his early career.

Pou, Drown and Gutho are both better players than the sharks pair. But something is going wrong with how they are being coached.

Need their energy in spurts off the bench.

Waqa will make 15-20 hitups for us.
Opacic looked much better as a left centre.
Penisini looked good the game against Canberra. Right centre.
If Fergo unfit then Russell not Haze.
Would even consider swapping Dylan with Guth..Guth is just not there right now.

I've been saying it all year. Dylan Brown is not a half.

Tend to disagree, watched Dylan through our junior program , was an excellent half with a dangerous running game and decent passing and kicking ability. Don’t think you lose it, just needs to play in a structure that brings it out.

We currently seem to be an all effort, little finesse team and it’s taking a toll

This is what ruined Lane last year and is happening with Ice this year.
