My issue with BA still remains that we have not seemed to evolve a whole lot as a team since round 1.
Plenty of other teams haven't..It shows there isn't that many good coaches around as their sides are the same level as round one.
I see Souths,Roosters and Brisbane as teams who slowly become better as year went on. Maybe Canberra and Manly as well.
Maybe there is not much difference in an NRL game plan and it all comes down to players and luck on the day.

On reflection the game highlights our team, fit, expansive, decent across the field , in essence a team. What is lacking is experience in the spine, and depth outside the starting 13.

This was shown again last night, when replacements for the front row came on , instant lack of ooomph both in attack and defence. Great servants in players like Gower and Terepo just don't do it currently. Alvaro and Taka do their job, Taka's enthusiasm and straight running was a tonic in the last 15 minutes.

Mau is being released at the right time, crucially we need to have development players like Oregan and Stefano make a mark and at the same time recruit to ensure the weaknesses behind Junior and Evans are covered. Evans was put back on swiftly last night when it was obvious what was occurring.

One question for the selectors, are the 2 young players seriously worse than Gower and Terepo, having young forwards off the bench seems to work for most clubs.

Why did we wait so long to bring Taka on?

He was running straight, and hard, popping offloads, and using his footwork, and caused huge headaches...

IIRC we won a game a few weeks ago when they had a floater called forward.
