Watching the game this morning a second time it is ridiculous the shit the Scum get away with in the ruck, then when we are up by 20 with 15 to go Klein gives the Storm the softest penalty you have ever seen. They had no momentum and deserved no momentum they scored and it totally changed the game undeservedly.

On the game was sitting behind the storms goal line second half…

there was at least 4 to 5 occasions within the storms attacking structure the ball carrier ran behind his player. Was clear as day…

surely that’s a penalty? Or does it not matter unless a player is blocked
You sure it wasn't just someone sitting in the row in front of you walking past your line of vision on their way to the bar each time?? Could explain it....

Was a great 70 mins, very good, don’t underestimate the storms defence…

Drown’s double movement was pure stupidity and change the result from great to ok….it was pure madness.

then we just got into cruise control, and let it some very soft tries in!!

Very disappointing, however on the other hand, if we had won 28 to 4, the media wouId be talking us up massively all week. The last couple of tries will let us lay low all week with minimal media talking us up.

interestingly Storm finished with 58% of the ball. Didn’t seem like that.

It was 55% our way at halftime. Possessions odd but. We made less tackles.

I got caught in traffic this morning. I think it was JAs fault. Surely he had something to do with this

I think it shows melbournes kick chase is very good. They get down there and try and pin you in when the backs are taking those early hitups.

And i think it showed our plan was to roll down the middle. Combined with melbournes defense which tries to suffocate and cut off backline moves. They are a strong defensive team.
The only way to deal with these teams with high line speed is to stay patient and hope to wear them out. Trying to go around them is the best way to make a ton of errors and get flogged.

Yep. Just keep smashing into their middles and their halves with your edge forwards. When they are fatigued, make your breaks up the middle or close to the middle. Last 10 minute's the storm got a run of possession and Ice was to rooted to cover from the inside. Enter Munster. Going side to side just lets the middles rest.

That stat is wrong. Looks like it’s been fixed now though.

Grant try... Matto pushing up leaving a gap and Ice too slow to slide across as well as move forward. You see Reg push him to move across...

Is this another resource issue?
Maybe, but the injuries to Stone and Nrown make it hard. Not sure many teams have even 17 first graders available at full strength. With all their injuries last night the Storm only had 14 first graders available.

Should have been a penalty here for the Storm laying on Reg for ages after the six again call...

Brown giving up a penalty on the first tackle with 5 to go.
