Ilias is quite ordinary in my opinion.

He is way down the list for getting early ball in hero situations though. Doesn't get much chance to shine, but yes, pretty average. He's a decent fourth wheel in the spine. Would be on heaps less than Reynolds.

Simonsson is a plodder. He is on a level below Joel Reddy and Ryan Morgan. I'd say he is on par with former player, Vai Toutai

I thought Simmonson had a lot of potential, but now I reckon this is as good as it gets. (And Joel Reddy was very underrated.)

He is a strong defender similar to Drown.

You don't get many young halves that can defend strongly at a young age. Which is half the battle

Problem is everyone is so impatient these days halves don't get the chance to develop and grow at a natural pace.

They have to be superstars from day dot and generally get burnt like Ash Taylor and co if they aren't.

He isn't paralysed by making a mistake and just playing naturally.

I don't even think it was coaching JA just sub-consciencely felt paralytic when playing for us fearing every mistake was going to be scrutinised. And with that did everything slow and robotic which made everything feel in slow motion and predictable.
