If a team wins 95% at full strength, 85% without player A and 80% without player B, which player is likely to be more influential, at least according to the win rate?

If you read all of our game day threads it’s become a recurring thing amongst several of us in the lead up to kick off… ‘fire up’, ‘rip their heads off’ and the like…and then some dickhead posts this GIF and ruins the joke.

Worst day at the footy I can recall. I love watching the 2s but they are dead set Chinese Water Torture to watch. Kids rushed in too soon and no thought given to providing experience around them that will aid their development and support the NRL team when required. The same "one club" defensive issues are there for all to see.
The 1s were poor. Whats been working was thrown out and an absolute rabble eventuated.
To top it off we had a 12 year old and his Dad Eels supporters behind us who never let up. The boy had a voice that could shatter glass and called (screamed) EVERY F*CKING PLAY. "Throw it left, hit it up, you're a dickhead Gutho." It never stopped. The Dad just roared expletives from go to whoa. The worst experience ive had at the footy. I was actually hoping The Tigpies would win by the end of the day. I doubt very much Ill ever get the daughter in law and granddaughter back to the footy. I love that stadium and my footy but yesterday was an absolute punish. If there was another game on tomorrow I wouldnt go.

Tigers defence was very good today. They seemed to always get that extra defender involved in each play while we didn’t.

Yes and a 3 game veteran coach also showed us how to create an overlap.

My Dad during the game said with 10 to go and up by 8 when he bought Lussick back on. Should of taken Blaize off amd Hands to 5/8 . His defense is struggling. They will go after him now with nothing to loose.

As for TLT, I think it will be cut n paste but maybe some changes towards the end of the week. Sivo and Harper were weak, however we can probably only drop one with only Bailey available. Sivo was hobbling, so his ankle might be dodgy.

Kelma went off after that hip drop, then came back on. We need that injury to settle down.

Sanders ? That would be a panicked selection and TBH it’s not as if he has had a bag full of TAs in cup and has form on the board. Yesterday his role was so stripped down from an organiser to “here, run that way” 5/8.

If we pick Asi, then you might as well declare Dylan unfit to step up. Yes there is a lot of pressure on Dylan this week, but sorry mate your pay packet as a half places that expectation on you.

Sure. Lets say it's a sample of 60 games, and players A and B were missing for 15 each (but conveniently never at the same time).

But your request for a hypothetical sample size shows you do get it, so I will cut to the chase and point out that we couldn't win 12 from 15 (80% - the Panthers' record without Cleary) without Moses because we don't even win that much with him in the team. Penrith also win a lot more than 80% with Cleary so they are clearly impacted by his absence, just as we are with Moses. That's why these players are on such big salaries.

I am not giving up my season ticket though.

The moment you give it up you lose your seat and get sent back to a waiting list.

Giving up your membership or not turning up is never the solution. There are other ways to demand improvement without turning your back on the club.

I want us to win to every week. Yes it won't happen but gee look at Penrith haven't they turned themselves into a juggernaut.

They were a basketcase like us in 2011 when Cleary 1.0 took over. And now with a system in place just roll up everyweek expecting to win with or without Chinboy.

Were still a lottery on what to expect on a weekly basis. Gee it must have been good to be a parra fan in the 80s when they won 85-90% of there games between 81-86.

I understand regarding season tickets, oi had them for years, until I just got red up, as for the 80’s they were the ultimate, though would have savoured a little more, if I’d known we would be 40 years, with f**k all of nothing.

I will renew tickets when they eventually get rid of Brad

Mahoney is a bitnof a pinball at times but he plays the game with 100% heart and gives it his all. Tough bugger with a great attitude.
Dogs paid overs but at the same time we miss his tenacity. Lussick is bog average.

I don’t think there’s much chance of getting Bennett, but can you imagine what he would do with Dylan Brown? He seems to me like the kind of player Bennett would coach to an elite level.

Coaching players to an elite level is not the coaches job mate.

We can worry about whatever we like. We are fans not players. There are unexpected wins and losses every year. This was one of them.

Peddles the same BS every year, losing games like this is why we are never a consistent top 4 team. Stability and mediocrity make you stiffer than a triple scotch.

Think the issue for a lot of fans is the predictability of our game, got,home and the wife said “that was so boring, we didn’t do anything”

At the game , it was just stale, not a lot of smart plays, loads of crash balls at the line and our left edge was slow and ponderous. Pass es from Lussick and others were messy and some of the drops, like Harpers that basically gave field position for the Tigers winning field goal, were so predictable. Feels like the call for change is louder and necessary, our recruitment committee seems unwieldy and old fashioned. Oh well, suck it up to next week, but thing s need to change . Big crowds and membership are possibly under threat if we continue down the same path we’ve been on.

I disagree regarding crowds, they will keep showing up , I leave that there
