What I saw was a side lacking a leader up front relating to tactics

The basic way to attack a side one man down is to hit it hard up the guts for 2/3 tackles to draw in defenders , then quick switches to the sides to get overlaps. Don’t understand even with the Murph on the field constantly , how no instructions got through. That coupled with the starting side changed is a reflection of poor tactical awareness. If you believe you can take any side lightly , then you deserve what we saw.

The only backs signed under MON despite its obvious need, has been Simmonson and Harper, not elite and not a massive upgrade.

My pharmacist is a massive Eels fan, and today as I wanted for a prescription came over for a chat and finished with :- if we signed Api we win games like this by 20, then added if we had signed Olam we would win by at leat 12. That’s how shortsighted and poor our recruitment has been. Don’t like the bloke, but Richardson gets things done, gets into the Tigers and says changes are needed and signings are made quickly, can’t compare to our recruitment committee in any way , shape or form.
We decided Hodgson was a better fit than Api.
Edit:
Sorry MON decided. BA has no say in recruitment.

Lussick was our best player yesterday. I thought our defence was ok, but it wasnt hard to defend 4 crash plays, especially when the ball is either thrown above or behind the receiver.
With the amount your team was offside, he was having to constantly readjust to find the second option so he wouldn't throw a hospital pass. The ref should've taken better control of the game.

Gotta give credit where its due.
Another huge effort yesterday in trying to get a "Parras in the Tunnel " crowd chant started.
New and very large cards at each end and side with dancers trying to charge up the crowd.
It fell as flat as BAs pre game changes and tactics.
For those that keep spending money on this failed exercise. Its not working! Move on ffs.

Now you’re just making shit up. Lussick left the field in the 53rd minute when we were up 14-6. He was brought back on in the 73rd minute with us down 14-16.

If you have to tell lies to prove the coach is shit, maybe he isn’t.

No he said with 15 to go what I'd do now is take Blaize off and move Hands to 5/8 and Lussck back on and win it with defense. I don't recall exact minuted but it was 14-6 and not long to go.

We all knew Sanders was going to Canberra and was a kid.
We all knew Halves get injured or Moses was a good chance for origin.

So the question is why we didn't try and sign a back up half back? For those who want to day we had JA. The question then must be asked why did we let him go and not replace him? One might say it's nepotism at it's finest. A better opportunity and more money for the kid.

Regardless we had 9 months to find a back up halfback. Who has a kid who is leaving as the main back up? Well he isn't even top 30 so we've gone into the season without a back up halfback.......

Look at Penrith -

Sean O Sullivan
Cogger
Schneider

We literally have no back up halfback.

Last decent one we had was Jai Field. We also had Fogerty and Dantoray. Possibly others. Regrettably we threw all our eggs in the Jake basket and then encouraged him to leave. Obviously all MONs fault.

Oh yeah you mean the specialist hooker Brendan Hands? Like I said, if we get enough of a lead he might get thirty minutes. Instead he got twenty minutes, and in that time the score went from 14-6 to 14-16.

Sivo had cramps ffs. Notice he's been picked again this week?
He wasn't acting like it was a cramp. He was pointing at his leg to the trainer and limping like it was an injury. The trainer didn't attempt to stretch his leg like it was cramping.

The issues that have developed so quickly this season were always going to eventuate at some stage.

We have a Best 17 that is a Top 4 team, with a couple of others who can help out.

But, once we have to start to select too many players outside of those 19, in far too many games, then playing Finals will always be a mirage.

We were always going to get to this point at some stage in 2024, it just came far too soon for most of our liking.

I'd argue we also have no genuine back up 1.

Cmon Gazza, the reason that Api wasn’t signed was purely financial, the R&R committee have strict payments for positions with little footy knowledge, and MON won’t argue too hard agst them. Players have been suggested and approached but we werent willing to match or didn’t believe their salary demands.

I understand the final decision is by the Chairman, CEO and HOF, and the coach is outside that commitment.
