We need to front load our effort, win the collision and out effort our opponent tonight.

Barrett is a shit head coach.
True, but he'll do for a temporary period during 2025, if BA walks once advised that he won't be extended into 2026.

But really, the club should be doing it's scouting and deals to lock in a successor now/in advance, so there's someone waiting in the wings if (a potentially disgruntled) BA walks early during 2025, like Brian Smith did.

I’d like to think the club is looking ahead as you’ve suggested, but I have little confidence that is the case.

Isn't that what we are training Cayless for?

Why? We have professional people on the board who deal with executives changing jobs on a regular basis and develop contingency plans all the time.
Just because they don't tell their customers what the plan is, doesn't mean there isn't one.

This weekend is full of games with second half comebacks, injuries and HIA's. Injuries are becoming a major concern for all clubs.

This is an important point. Close games are as good as a coin toss for whether you win or lose. Some years we've won most of them and other years we've lost most of them. Same coach, same leaders. This is why points differential is a better gauge of the team's quality.

NO. Storm win close games cause they never give up. Not coin tosses they fight to end. We lost last week because we played terrible. Nothing to do with a coin toss.
