Good contest. We were always due for a loss in any case.

We shouldn't be too disappointed as we have plenty to learn even if we had won.

Again, if we learn to do something from set situations we will be awesome.

Interestingly enough both our centres probably kept us in the game and cost us the game...but Waqa Blake is still a HUGE liability in defence.

Final scoreline is probably about right.

What cost us possibly was the 2 before halftime. They probably don't go for it if 14 not 16 to go to 18. And had we held on there it is still a one score game.

Blake can run the ball but that was the softest defence I’ve seen. Opposition attack are going to have a field day this year after watching that. We’ve been critical of Fergo for not trusting Blake these last 4 weeks but it would be hard to have any sort of confidence with such a turnstile inside you.

The ridiculous sin binning just took away any type of finish other than what we got however we had nothing left after the try, all we could do was hold on.

We are 17 minutes of fitness and toughness behind the Roosters.

Sorry mate but what cost us was some piss poor individual efforts in defence. The good news is that our defensive structure is excellent. If we can get rid of those soft efforts we’re right in the mix.

We need a quality 14. We don’t. Stone was exposed like the f**king plodder he is. Blake is a terrible defender. He was f**king awful.

I don’t think the refs got them home. They were better, simple as that.

The last 2 weeks I thought Blake was excellent in defence - tonight he was horrid. He really shat the bed. Cost us the game. Not first grade standard.

Paulo was great
Matterson was great
Moses excellent
Gutherson very good
Mahoney great in attack again. Very poor in D in the last quarter.

Love the offloads but we lack weapons to compete with the Roosters and Souths.

Roosters will win again sadly. They'll win it easily.
