Aaron Gray named for the Bears on Sunday so mustn't have been too bad an injury. Will we see him debut in the coming weeks? Hope so!

I'd say so. His form seems to be strong for the Bears and he HAS to be better than Millard.
Maybe it was because he was marking Morris but everytime he ran at him he let him kind of get past him and then tackle him from behind/jump on his back and wait for someone else to join him. ha! jeeze

Agreed, but I wouldn't debut him this weekend coming out of injury.

Next week against Cronulla's pairing of Leutele and Beale wouldn't be a bad op if Millard continues his poor form.

George cleared and is available to play against the cowboys.

With all the players getting off on the same charge in recent weeks George had to be let off.

Also J. Morris got off for an accident too. So it would have been wrong for George to be suspended.

Also Southsport George now has 0 carry over points which is very good.

What's also funny is on the Internet in general Bulldogs fans are still butthurt and are saying how did Souths keep those 2 and stay under the cap. Lol:lol::lol:

Also Manly fans are sucked in as they thought Tom was definitely going there!!!

I read elsewhere how Souths are making sure players contracts don't expire in the same year which helps us keep them, compared to Manly who had all their star players off contract in the same year.

Souths recruitment team is a lot smarter than silly dysfunctional Manly's.

That's right, no carry over points.

Just on Sutto, GI said that Sutto has until Monday to prove his fitness and GI is happy to play at #1 or #6.

Thanks. Word is Sutto will be good to go though. A couple of assessments he has to get through at training and he's expected to get through them.

I don't think Reddy has any excuses;he's been part of the NRL all along!

I am hoping that Millard improves with every game as he re-acclimatises after 5 yrs out.He had to adjust to the more open style of the ESL back then, but,in time, became a highly rated player in that league.

Madge is continuing to pick him so he must see some positives there.

Madge is picking him as the young guns aren't ready to step up yet.

Millard is past it imo.

Hence the reason why he was 20th man in the first few rounds and Reddy made our backline ahead of him.

Reddy is past it too but is slightly better than Millard. Reddy can make one on one tackles like he did when he tackled Bulldogs players by the legs a couple of times last week. Also Reddy has some leg drive to gain a few extra metres when hitting the ball up. Millard has neither of these attributes.

Millard is bad at where he stands when we are defending. Millard mostly rushes in too when there isn't a need too which leaves lots of space further out wide.

South Sydney Rabbitohs v North Queensland Cowboys
ANZ Stadium
Monday 7pm
League fans around the country are sweating on the final decision of South Sydney coach Michael Maguire this week.
The Bunnies taskmaster has named John Sutton to replace injured halfback Adam Reynolds after a knee injury suffered last week against the Bulldogs, but rumours are rife of a Greg Inglis shift to the halves, making room for Alex Johnston to play his preferred fullback position.
This would pit the game's two preeminent players – Inglis and Johnathan Thurston – directly against each other as they go set for set up the middle.
Until three weeks ago the Rabbits were every bit 'the team that has forgotten how to lose', dominating every challenge before them since September. Since then their trademark muscle up the middle has lost its bite, while the Cowboys are fast gearing up after taking three and a half games this season to get the motor running.
As it stands, the Rabbits will run on with Sutton at five-eighth after a miraculous return from a broken jaw suffered in Round 2, while Luke Keary shifts to halfback. George Burgess is free to play after successfully beating a dangerous contact charge at the judiciary. As expected after two straight wins, the Cowboys will go in unchanged. Glenn Hall is a possible inclusion, named at 18th man.
Watch Out Rabbitohs: The Cowboys are back in a big way thanks to the men up front. The trio of Matt Scott, James Tamou and Jason Taumalolo worked Penrith into the ground on both sides of the ball with an extraordinary 583 run metres and just two missed tackles between them. The middle is a lot harder to contain when James Tamou is involved. Boasting 183 run metres and 29 tackles last week, he took a load off Scott and Taumalolo who responded with their best performances of the season.
Watch Out Cowboys: Seldom do we see Souths' pack outmuscled the way they were against the Bulldogs on Good Friday. Minus hooker Issac Luke in the second half, the Rabbits withstood a barrage of field position and still managed a come-from-behind win on the back of a good kicking game and invaluable carries from outside backs. With Luke recovered and ready to go, look for the sting to return to a more organised Rabbitohs pack led by George Burgess and Dave Tyrrell.
Key Match-Up: Luke Keary v Johnathan Thurston. Whoever Maguire chooses to partner Keary in the halves, it will be up to the 23-year-old to run the show. With his name floated around in Origin talks, there is no better measuring stick for Keary than the incumbent Maroons playmaker Thurston. Thurston himself is back to his best after leading the Cowboys to victories in the past two weeks.
The History: Played 26; Rabbitohs 13, Cowboys 12, 1 drawn. There is something about this match-up that brings out the best in recent North Queensland sides. They have taken the two points in the past three meetings between the teams; however in the nine games previous – between 2007 and 2013 – the Rabbits took the W in all but one.
What Are The Odds: Rabbitohs ($1.75) v Cowboys ($2.08). Sportsbet punters have invested 60 per cent more money on the Cowboys in head-to-head betting. Nearly all the bets in handicap betting have been with North Queensland, who've been given 2.0 points start.
Match Officials: Referee – Adam Devcich; Assistant Referee – Allan Shortall; Touch Judges – Russell Turner & Jess Younis; Video Referees – Steve Clark & Steve Folkes
Televised: Fox Sports 1 – Live 7pm
The Way We See it: For all the talk of a Cowboys season in dire straits after less than a month of football, they could find themselves on equal footing with the top eight with a win on Monday night. The loss of Adam Reynolds is a game-changer for Souths and will force players to line up in positions they otherwise wouldn't. There is no doubt the Rabbitohs will adjust but one week may not be enough time for combinations to gel. Cowboys by six.

Madge has hinted there could be some changes to the team on Monday.

I am hoping for a Taukafa debut and Brown coming in on our interchange replacing Lowe.

I'd like Reddy at centre, with Taukafa on the wing. Millard needs to be dropped.

Who knows as well, maybe a chance of Dylan coming back? Most likely he'll be back for the Sharks game the week after though.

If Madge drops Millard, Lowe and Reddy I may topple over in happiness:lol::lol:

I'd like to see some of the younger talent come in to the side.

Rabbitohs Head Coach, Michael Maguire, says that injuries have opened a number of opportunities for his men ahead of Monday night’s clash with the North Queensland Cowboys.
The red and greens will boast a slightly new look outfit against the Cowboys with Adam Reynolds out injured, but Maguire has pointed to the strong sense of competitiveness and duty within his side as the key to moving forward, with competition for spots within his side still raging.
Check out Maguire's Round 6 Line-up

“Injuries aren't something you want, but it’s about how you handle it,” said Maguire, who this week named John Sutton to return to the side after the Rabbitohs was side-lined with a fractured jaw.

“It’s about opportunities and we’ve seen that over time at this Club with a number of our young guys coming into the team and excelling in the way they’ve come into first grade.
“We have a lot of young kids working very hard in the background to get their opportunity. When it does come for them, they’ll be ready to take their chance with both hands.
“The boys really enjoy competing against each other. I think that makes for a really healthy environment in everything we do.
“Whether it’s in the gym or at training, they like having a crack at each other – in a healthy way – and that’s part of the culture here because we know that hunger is going to benefit us when we get to the weekend.”

The Rabbitohs mentor told Rabbitohs.com.au that this week’s training sessions have all been about what his side can improve on.
“They’ve been training well and obviously preparation is key in everything we do,” said Maguire.
“Our focus has centred around what we can improve on and that really applies to every week.
“Obviously we have a few changes and I have some decisions to make in the back end of this week, but whichever way we go, whoever comes into those roles will play their part for the team.
“Every player knows their role and getting on with the job is something we’re really big on.”
Both the Rabbitohs and Cowboys come into Round 6 having picked up wins during the Easter Long Weekend, and Maguire is expecting an exciting contest on Monday night – particularly in the forwards.
“The forwards are definitely going to have a good battle through the middle,” said Maguire.
“They have the likes of Scott, Tamou and many more. But they’ve also got great halves like Johnathan Thurston, and we all know what he’s capable of doing.
“These sorts of battles is why you play the game – two big forward packs and quality edges. We’re certainly looking forward to it as a team because it’s another opportunity to get out in front of our fans and do the things we’re capable of.”

Sutto did not complete the full session today, he drifted in and out apparently.

Sutto was seeing a specialist today to get the all clear, but I reckon he's 1 week away still.

Glenn and Issac trained well and despite a broken nose AJ is definitely playing.

Here is my team:

AJ
Taukafa
Millard
Goodwin
Reddy
GI
Keary
George
Issac
Tyrrell
Stewart
McQueen
Clark

Grant
Grevsmuhl
Tom
Mcinnes (IMO we need a utility for cover, but Madge may stick with Lowe)

Where'd you get the info about Sutto R20?

Shame if true. But on the upside I wouldn't mind seeing how a young winger goes (unless McQueen shifts to centre and Goodwin to the wing)

Gonna really need the forwards especially the front rowers to aim up if we are to win.

I think it was off late mail off daily telegraph. Will be in the papers tomorrow too.

Tomorrow morning I believe Madge will be telling either GI or McInnes that they're playing at 6.

Also I heard that Cam tackled GI at training today and GI went down with his bad knee, but he's fine.

Madge may be hesitant to move GI to 6 as he will have to do lots of defensive work and his knee isn't too good.

With the injuries we have, I can't see Madge moving McQueen to centre.

Reddy may move to centre in place of Millard and Taukafa on the wing.

Oh well, we will just have to wait and see, there are a few different ways Madge could go with on the final 17.
