I am around lots of kids, and they like to follow the successful sides. This translates to future revenue. Not many kids want to follow unsuccessful sides unless pushed into it by their parents.

Are you saying that we wouldn't make more money if we were successful? Might as well just kick back then and hire the cheapest staff, coach and players...

The thing is, with Farah out, the Tigers will definitely try to bash us up through the middle. Our pack has competed well with the more fancied opposition this year, and will have to give as good as they get.

We stop their go-forward, we beat them.

I think you'll find that the tigers plan won't change much. Luani is very similar in attack to Farah, but his defence & organising isn't as good.

Brooks will be running play a bit more.

Tigers forwards will be running at the edge of the ruck more often. Our props into your backrowers sorta thing.

I dunno - but I know for sure we've made more money per year in 2010 (not making the finals) than we did in any year previously (often making the finals).

Also (and this was the key point): our record at ANZ has been great prior to SK.

So perhaps when we analyze the data carefully, we see that winning at ANZ brings in lower revenue in terms of sponsorship...
