Yeah I reckon Norman got tackled on the 4th tackle about 4 times today. Crazy.

And I want to mention Hoffman - he was outstanding today.

I thought Kaiser was also outstanding.

Solid enough performance. Still patchy but the defence was much better. Second half our completion rate was pathetic though, same thing BA said at half time last week. Execution isn't there, loads of improvement left.

Honestly I think Kenny Edwards has a lot to do with the improved defence. His energy in defence off the bench is incredible and we've missed that. Watch him run 40m to have a rager over a forced mistake, that kind of thing is infectious.

Fair call on Edwards, he adds alot off the ball that can't be read in a stats sheet. Was disappointed though he didn't come in and get a cramp on that last set of six of ours.

Nah mate Browny had a legit knee injury, why fake a cramp when the ref knows you were getting treatment on your knee ten mins ago? He's a thinking man, Nathan Brown. You can just tell....

Yep credit where it's due. He had his best game for us this year. Needs to do it consistently if he wants to be considered a starting NRL hooker. Kudos young chap

Here's a stat for the stat haters.

Our starting forwards all made over 100m (bar the hooker if you're a pedant who calls them a forward). That's outstanding, but also probably shows that Penrith had awful line speed despite being offside so often.

Penrith are a team that need to play with confidence to really win games and they have really lost their confidence now. The Sharks belted most of their remaining confidence out of them last week and I reckon we just about shredded any last bit of confidence they had left today.

Kenny Edwards had as much to do with that win as anyone. His energy and revving the boys up is exactly what we've missed at the back end of each half and where we've leaked points.

I'll also add that our right side defence was outstanding this week. Aarrrddvvaa was very good and Kenny's hit and stick is all class.

With French only out for one more week would we give Will Smith a crack at either 6 or 1 (moving Gutho back to 6)? He did play in a pretty good Top 4 finals team at the Panthers in the halves when he was still eligible for the Under 20's, he's got to have at least something to offer.

With the way RVarR has been going I can see Taka struggling to get a run back in this side.
