As long as it’s a widely inclusive name not fussed if it’s brisbane or sq, easts coast or sunshine state dolphins. I think calling them Moreton bay dolphins would be a big mistake as it’s too geographically isolating.

It is isolating, but that will allow Broncos to market themselves as a team for City or Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan. Dolphins could be a coastal team for Moreton Bay, Redlands and Sunshine Coast.

It’s less if they have a problem with it and more will they actually travel to games from that far away to support them? It’s likely dolphins will largely be on fta so Thursday and Friday nights are going to be a regular slot for them you’d think.

The smartest thing would be to introduce Easts as the South Brisbane Firehawks and Redcliffe as the Moreton Bay Dolphins. That way SEQ is covered from Moreton Bay to the border and Ipswich, with Broncos taking in Ipswich and south western, western and north western Brisbane. Firehawks take in south-eastern and eastern Brisbane, Logan, and Redlands. Dolphins take in northern and north eastern Brisbane and Moreton Bay.

we have game on the free to air channel on a Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Traditionally the Thursday or Friday night games feature the Brisbane club as it brings more viewers. IF Ch9 are going to pay more because of Brisbane2 coming in then you can be pretty sure they will want them in one of their two biggest audience slots.

The club should hire a local music band to perform at the team's home games. Give them a name that fits in with the club's brand and make it so club members can vote each week for which songs they can perform covers of at Lang Park. That'll help get mothers and wives to attend.
