Ipswich and Logan are two very important growth areas. Broncos already have support in both cities, but so much more can be achieved by a team based south of the border. If the new Brisbane team is not aiming for an average of between 20 - 25 thousand then they are aiming far too low.
The simple reality is that Brisbane Broncos are based north of the City and there is a significant population (RL oriented) particularly in the West.
Brisbane Firehawks should make overtures toward the Ipswich Council offering to build / partner to build a High Performance Centre in Springfield and an openness to playing games in any future stadium

Easts Tigers cover the eastern suburbs of Logan from Rochedale South to Yarrabilba. They could make inroads into Redlands.
The Jets could cover the western suburbs of Logan all the way through Ipswich.
Dolphins could cover all of Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast.
AAMI cannot be expanded due to the fancy roof.
Eastern suburbs of Logan are the opposite of Ipswich and more like Redlands, but the western suburbs of Logan have some similarities with Ipswich, especially Greenbank which has the army reserve that fits in with the Jets theme. Most of Logan's population is in the eastern suburbs.Wait mofo, for 12 months you've said Logan & Ipswich are very different places & couldn't exist as team, now you putting them together?!
Gosford is 20k and Newcastle has 4 sides! Not sure of your point? No issue in Gosford or Newcastle
30k is the perfect size for rectangular sports in Melbourne anyway.Yep, to hinder soccer which requires 40k stadium for world cup
fingers crossed. It will be important they can be competitive for first few years, no one likes a loser.Brisbane 2, whichever bid that is, will easily average 25k and be the second (maybe third behind Parra) highest drawing team in the league. Let's have a look at the reasons why that is easy...
Broncos derby 45 -50k
Titans match 30 - 40k
Cowboys match 30 - 40k
Storm match 25 - 35k
There area also a number of Sydney clubs with large fan bases in Brisbane that would be a 25 - 30k draw. But with just the above 4 games, Brisbane 2 would only need to pull between 16 - 22k for the rest of the season to average 25k for the year. As the city grows and the generations roll on, they will only carve out more and more of a fan base of their own until eventually we have two Brisbane clubs averaging 30 - 35k at all times.
True, sustained lack of success out of the blocks would sour things for sure.fingers crossed. It will be important they can be competitive for first few years, no one likes a loser.
Thats probably another reason some other clubs are so against expansion, a new club being successful means an existing club dropping out the 8.True, sustained lack of success out of the blocks would sour things for sure.
Mate, the Broncos are based in Red Hill. While technically its "north of the city" its basically inner city.If the new Brisbane team is not aiming for an average of between 20 - 25 thousand then they are aiming far too low.

Not just any team can pull numbers like that, you need a solid business plan with reliable leadership, a strong identity, effective marketing, and high product availability to pull that off. The more competition there is in the market the more difficult it becomes on top of that, and two teams simply being from the same city doesn't make them equals.Brisbane 2, whichever bid that is, will easily average 25k and be the second (maybe third behind Parra) highest drawing team in the league. I'm sure the winning bid will have all of those things. Not just any team can pull numbers like that, you need a solid business plan with reliable leadership, a strong identity, effective marketing, and high product availability to pull that off. In other words, don't count your chickens before they hatch.
