Redcliffe put their hand up

Or do niether, since the sharks are already in their area and can pull t hise bayside councils to them, as wollongong is dragons catchment, all this moving around, has your head spinning, dragons are only in kogarah for the "sydney St.George" supporters and of the sponsorship opportunities, they couldn't survive without it only being in Wollongong fulltime. Its the same argument as Wests Tigers moving away from balmainor Ashfield, its where they make their money, being a fulltume Campbelltown team doesn't help their funds.

Manlys only chance to do anything is play at least half their home games in Gosford.
Not sure why you need to harp on about the sharks, they arw flush with cash, own their stadium, and have a great junior system, and catchment
The ARLC were keen to relocate the Sharks or let them die before PVL got the top gig. They were in debt to the tune of $5.5m. PVL had to talk the ARLC into letting them stay.

What you're saying confirms that Sydney's RL landscape needs to be reordered. Wollongong cannot support a team because it's too small and regional. Sharks are always finding themselves in a financial crisis.

This thread is about Redcliffe, there are many other threads that have this rationalisation of Sydney discussion.
Agreed. It’s annoying as hell seeing a new post and thinking someone has some relevant news.

All the other threads have the rationalisation of Sydney discussion imposed within. 10% topic at hand, then hijacked by the short attention spans.

Sea Eagles should look at marketing themselves as North Sydney Sea Eagles so they can grow a wider fanbase. Big CBD in North Sydney for them to latch onto if they market themselves correctly.

Big crowds for AwFuL clubs in Melbourne are the reason the city has so many clubs, and despite this, AwFuL have tried to relocate 1 or 2 of them.

London is about 3 times as big as Sydney and its support for soccer dwarfs Sydney's support for RL.

Imagine how big the Dragons could be if they had 560k residents of Southern Sydney (Georges River Council, Bayside Council and Sutherland Shire) all to themselves?

Wollongong is 1 and a half hours away from Kogarah Oval by public transport, so it makes sense to relocate Sharks and market the larger, more popular brand of Dragons to the future generations of Sutherland Shire.

Great, ppl in North Sydney can now cheer for their hated rival sea eagles. Same for cronulla fans with dragons.

So which name do you prefer:

Brisbane Dolphins?
Moreton Bay Dolphins?
Sunshine State Dolphins?
South Queensland Dolphins?

Newcastle Knights is good marketing and one of the smarter brands in world sport, right up there with Arsenal Gunners. Knights defend castles and guns make up arsenal. Moreton Bay has plenty of dolphins swimming in it and is a popular weekend getaway for people from Brisbane. As you enter Redland City along Broadwater Rd there's a sign that says "Redlands on Moreton Bay".

Its non stop with this clown, every relevant expansion thread gets a hi jacked with a mention of NS eagles,
But its not a new thing, go thru this time last year, and Melbourne were the whipping boy that was a constant on all threads, with data on crowds, plus news ltd advantages blahblahblah..
Then before that Perth was not a real viable expansion option, until now bris2 is coming, so now it is, even a few months ago Dragons needed to be relocated to Adelaide, so that cronulla could bloom as the british expats could relate to stgeorge in SA, now its cronulla was on deaths door, fk them off to SA..flip, flopping, on the forecast

Dude not like this guy, it's not only irrelevant shít, it's the same irrelevant shít on all these threads within the same time, makes you wanna put him on ignore, but the issue isn't for him to be ignored, it's the fact we are waiting on news of something expansion relevant, but wined up with more rationalization or rebranding and marketing graphs, any excuse to de-rail a thread and throw shít on the Sydney clubs, none of which is Expansion

Mate go have a look at other parts on forum the NRL threads =wests take over bid is a recent one i was just on, and that same troll is there talkiing about BRL, and more irrelevant shít, there's no hard on for him, just sick of everyone giving him a pass, for the constant de-railing. So why can't I go to every thread and call him out, the same way he does his theories that get blanketed everywhere? No real difference

I actually favoured this name until people from and living in that area made it clear that it’s not part of Brisbane :worried:
Redcliffe is in Moreton Bay Regional Council, which is part of the Brisbane metropolitan area.

It would be interesting to know what the locals think.

If they go with "North Brisbane" then they will need to form some sort of association with Norths Devils to develop a fanbase closer to Lang Park.

If the idea is for Brisbane2 to play out of suncorp stadium then they need to be a Brisbane team and not some completely different area/town/city that’s 30 miles away.

Which is why I'd prefer to see Redcliffe Dolphins and Eastern Suburbs Tigers merge their bids to become the East Coast Dolphins. It will give them a base close to Lang Park and provide a supporter base down through the eastern suburbs of Logan.

No one supports Norths Devils, but it would make sense to have them in their feeder club arrangement.

there is no specific suburb or regional council called North Brisbane so its a nice neutral name that encompasses a massive region from Moreton Bay to Suncorp.
