Where it did result from was a near flawless display of football from Queensland. They completed their first ten sets, and built pressure resulting in repeat sets. You should watch it again, you might learn a thing or two about our great game.

Mate the thrust of your post was that the only reason Queensland were leading after twenty was because of refs intervention. That is what's f**king pathetic.

That's because the refereeing in the first half was atrocious. I'm not going to f**king lie about it in the spirit of good sportsmanship. Regardless of that we were dominated. Queensland was gifted nearly all of the ball in the opening 30 minutes. I don't think it had an effect on the outcome though. What's surprising is that QLD couldn't put more points on us later in the game because we were dominated that hard. Our team was and played shit and I'm not making excuses for them.

My argument isn't with QLD, it's with shitty officiating. Trust a simpleton Queenslander to think everything is a personal attack.

Yes Qld brilliantly took advantage of the opportunities the referees gave them in the opening minutes.

That "play on" call for that strip on hoffman was the most ridiculous call given they gave the exact same penalty to Qld just minutes ago.

Qld would have been too good anyway, but the penalties at the beginning of the game just took any contest out of the game.

I looked at what caused QLDs loss ,& laid it squarely at the feet of Meninga & JT.

aI have seen the stat on this thread that the tackle count at one stage was 120 to 27.
The penalty count was 4-0 at this stage. That equates to 24 tackles. Only one penalty was debateable. (jennings but last i checked that IS a penalty).
Deduct the 24 "bonus" tackles from 120 = 96.
No figure out where all the rest came from.

However, and I realise this makes it a bit difficult for Queenslanders and commentators, there can be more than one player credited with the same tackle. Most tackles have 2 or 3 defenders involved, and this explains why simply multiplying the number of sets by 6 to arrive at the total number of tackles doesn't add up. This is fortunate for Queenslanders, as they'd run out of fingers and toes after 4 sets.
