It was the fact they Qld scored off the back of those penalties that gave them so many sets of 6.
Having said that, you could say that 3 out of 4 of those penalties probably were deserving. And last one a 50/50. And QLD fully deserve credit in taking the most of their chances they were given.
But its actually the penalties that weren't blown for NSW that was the killer
You refer to NSW errors but how many errors can they make if they don't have ball in hand??. They pretty much only had 3 sets in the first 20 minutes and they competed 2 sets. The other was a knock on called against Hoffman when the ball was blatantly ripped out by Smith. And it wasn't just NSW laying in the ruck or offside.
QLD would have been good enough on the night anyway. It was just disappointing to see the refs taking the contest out of the game. NSW were just not given a chance.
