"Remi Casty, pleased to meet you."

Remi Casty has been selected in the full strength, post-Origin, Roosters side for the match against Canberra Raiders.

Expect another good performance from the French tyro.

I expect 8 run for 40 metres and 29 tackles

All I ever ask for is improvement

Which means Sam Moa needs to make 150 metres and 35 tackles with none missed

Casty was ok in his first game, but making a massive impact in your first game of NRL is not expected. As long as you're solid and aim to improve.

No lauding or condemnation needed yet

Looked ok got through plenty of defence, although I didn't pick up on many carries. Still was involved and stepped up and I hope he gets more games as a few frenchies in the nrl would help their performance on the international stage immensley

You are correct.

Two good looks are full back Morgan Escare and hooker Eloi Pelissier at Catalans.

Fox Sports just announced that in his debut game Remi Casty made 7 runs for 56 metres, not the 35 metres alleged by this forum's resident imbecile, TT.

Remi has just been on for 10 minutes and already has done well with most of his carries. Hopefully he will get a bit more time in the second half so he can make more carries and lots of metres, as well as tackling like a tyro.

35 metres according to NRL.com and the Rugby League Live app

https://matchcentre.nrl.com/match#/match/2014/9135/91351101/

But yeah, sure, he ran for 56 metres if you include his interchange metres

He improved to a whopping 43 metres tonight. Another ineffectual performance and right before he finally got benched Jimmy was yelling at him, presumably because we were turfing out of our own 10m line and Casty was standing around doing nothing.

It was on show for all to see that Kane Evans is far and away the superior player.

It wasn't on show for all to see because Kane Evans didn't play last night you ignorant clown. How can you compare the performances of two players who didn't play in the same game?

If the NRL stats are used then compare Remi with players who did play. Frank Paul Nu'uasala did play, was on for much longer than Remi and only ran 8 times for 57 metres, compared with Remi's running 7 times for 43 metres.

NRL should offer the bloke a gig in the bush somewhere. Reckon he could clock up 50m each week then.

This is only Remi's second NRL competition game, he has improved his carry performance over the first week, yet some silly people want to dismiss him as not up to NRL standard.

The fact is that Remi needs time to adapt to the team for which he has played so little so far. People who are not Francophobes or general xenophobes understand that.

Fortunately the Roosters coach, who is making the selection decisions, knows Remi well from having coached him for two years in France. That is why Remi was recruited in the first place. Remi's dopey detractors are just bogun bigots plain and simple.

Casty's fresh meat pie was a real ripper! What a champion! He brushed off a head high, and then showed real grit and determination to go all the way.

Incidentally, it showed what an ignorant bigoted moron TT really is (in case anyone didn't know already).

You lot are up there on my most-hated teams list, yet I could get used to this wrecking ball....enjoyed watching him today. Hope Robinson keeps him in the 17, would love to see him up against Graham/Burgess bros etc later this season...
