You saw the Pistols? I'm very jealous!

Filthy Lucre Tour circa 1996 at the Horden.

They were out of tune, out of time, it was a musical shambles, chaotic, pushing, jumping, the odd fight, and mindless violence ( no one near me got hurt). There were plenty of goths and pretty punk girls etc as well. My mate disappeared into the masses during holidays in the sun and I didn’t see him for the rest of the night!

I was a student and got a discount ticket.

It was about the best night of my life, certainly the best gig I’ve been to by a long long way ( that includes the reverend Clash!)

Now you're telling me you saw the Clash as well? Wow, I really am massively jealous now! I never got to see the Clash but I have seen Mick (with Big Audio Dynamite) and Joe (with his band the Mescalleros)

Magnificent Seven at the Capitol.

They were memorable as well, but the Mescaleros I watch them on the YouTube and they are next level. Joe loved them.

I remember the story of the clash busking for their fans who were lining up to see them at concerts and Joe was of course, a great humanitarian. He never stopped caring.

I’ve seen bad as well. They were good.

it’s strange these days that we have classes of people we are supposed to care about.

I’m not sure kids in the Middle East care about whether or not the person who made the bomb that’s blowing them up believes in global warming etc.

Joe thought everyone should be treated well equally.
