How come, if people keep saying Daley will be loyal and pick Maloney, and a lot of the same team from last year, Jimmy Mac never gets a mention for the wing. He has done nothing wrong this year and played very solid in Origin last year. Ok he's not scoring tries for us like he did last year, but he still can if he gets the opportunity.

So glad I'm a QLDer

Lol Mullen 'Has been overawed on big occasions in the past' Has been inconsistent in the past as well all know but did people not see him during the finals last year? And it's not like the other halves haven't been overawed before either, stupid.

Mullen had little chance to do anything. Definitely wasn't great, but there was so much derp going on around him.

Can forget about origin again, and can thank his teammates for it by and large.

Spent the first half being rushed by Manu and Plum. Surprised he didn't get injured considering they threw themselves at him each time. Second half every opportunity was wasted by mistakes.

It's unfair to say Soward outplayed Mullen when he didn't have the opportunity to perform equally. It would be quite pathetic to even think off the back of today that Soward is in the same league as Mullen.

The penalty against him for lifting after his error seemed to be absolute joke from where I was sitting.

I love Mullo but it's a well documented fact his form disappears at this stage every year. He's hardly set the world on fire since he's been back either. He won't be picked and from a Knights perspective thank god for that.

I dunno it'd make me erect if Mullen played SOO again and was instrumental in NSW breaking the drought or something. More than the Knights finishing 10th instead of 15th would anyway.

TBH he hasn't had much to work with since coming back either. Any half would be struggling in our team at the moment. I can still see his class, just being abit restrained by the team imo

This, so much this

I have let go of the idea of the Knights doing anything of note this year. NSW beating QLD is the goal now in my world

TBH im a big knights supporter but I put state ahead of club footy. Much better quality football, allegiances with players who are normally the opposition are made all in order to stop the most hated enemy of all; QLD. Love watching Birdy, Gal, Choc etc. play for NSW more than I enjoy watching anyone else play (apart from maybe 2010, 2011, 2012 Aku and 2009 Hayne). Club footy is footy, origin to me is war.
And say what you want about those three, but I know if I was fighting in a war I'd want them in the trenches next to me. They're off their heads

When i first heard Maloney would be available for selection I assumed that would be it for Mullo's chances, now I'm not so sure though, I think he still has a chance.

Unfortunately (or probably fortunately, getting towelled up by the Eagles isn't a great way to push your claim), he won't get another chance to play before the team's picked, so he's done all he can do.

I will call it now. Josh Reynolds will be an epic flop at Origin level. What actual structure does he play to. He is a fine competitor but i believe Hodkinson is more responsible for the Dogs turnaround. In fact Hodkinson and Mullo would be an excelkent halves choice. Trent is a talented kid. Great goal kicker.

The ironic thing about Reynolds is that everyone goes on about his grit and determination, but it doesn't actually seem to help him that much when it comes to his defence. I'm glad Kenny for one was able to notice it, Mullen would not have the 'aggression' but he's a safer and better defender.
