Return of gaz

Beau could still play the game he's picked for. These days it doesn't really matter what we call a player or what number he has on.

Josh plays on Coopers side and will probably come after next season when coinscidently Coopers contract is up. Gasnier should not effect the Dragons chances of signing Morris.

Only worry is Gaz defence. With Soward and Gaz out there the weakness will stand out like dog's balls. The opposition will be running that side and scoring at free will if Gaz does not improve his defence.

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't swap Scotty for Josh at the present time.

But on the other hand, I would swap Scotty for "The Chin" and move Scotty to the second row.

Scott would make an excellent 3rd choice centre, if either of the other two were injured.

Am I missing something, as I don't think Josh is playing his best footy at the moment.

Call out the men in the white coats if you like, but I think Gaz, Cooper and Scott are our best 3 centre prospects.

GO

i always value your opinion go, and having gaz back would be a huge boost.

Unless they have some understanding with Josh that we don't know about, we cant wait for a 'what-if / maybe', if we can get Gasnier on the cheap for this season at least, then lets do it.

Gasnier Match payment for 2010.. lets go! Scott to 2nd row.

Apparently good ol' 'Dragon hater' Scott Prince was on the news telling the world that it would put the club over the cap beyond doubt.
Someone should tell Prince that people in glass houses illicitly built for free by a third party sponsor outside the cap, shouldn't throw stones.

Anyway this a Telcrap article by the absolute worst of the worst in Slothfield. A grain of salt is too much at this stage, I'd suggest a quarter of a grain of salt

Agee. Did he ever play ? Did he give himself his own nick-name. Its why I take no real notice of what he writes. He starts a story - then makes a point - then next day - attacks the very story he started

Get him now. Bennett and gasnier would be unbelievable. We need him. If we can get him this year he'll realise what he left and he may just stay.

If David Gallop wants to keep any credit left this simply won't and can't happen.

People would be laughing about the salary cap deliriously!

People are laready in hysterics that the Sharks are spending the cap DS. ITs the biggest joke in the game & a bloody corker at that.

As for this...believe it when I see it, but has been on the cards for a bit. First heard of it about a month ago. They could back end his deal pretty easily with Costigan, Saffy & Priddis - all on probably around 150k max - either off contract, retiring or leaving respectively at the end of the year. If you sack three players to get one then it could be done.

These forums are going to be a hot house of hate today LOL. Goig to be great fun. I'm predicting a lot of this -

"The cap is a joke"

"St George get all the favors"

"Won't matter. St Choke will Oki Chokey in the finals anyway"

And all from a TUESDAY morning headline by Phil Rothfield, who just about everyone on these forums says is full of sh*t - including me. I wonder what Phil, Deano & Josh Massouds user names are in here. Hello boys. You must be having a good laugh at the hornets nest you've kicked up this morning. Good to see the power of the oen still reigns supreme.

From an attacking perspective, with him back on the right it would be a nice compliment to the best left sided attacking structure in the NRL.

You must have nightmares about Saints.

Are you suggesting that Saints are considering breaching the salary cap?

Free tip: Good idea to answer with "no".

The Dragons are talking to the NRL about it and Gasnier will not come to Saints unless he fits under the cap - you're a dope and bullsh*t artist for suggesting otherwise.

Would any club in their right mind sign any player that would put them over the cap, given the event's of the past fortnight???

Maybe only a club who has already proven themselves completely inept at managing their finances and would do anything in complete desperation to finally win something.

That description fits the Sharks perfectly.

Will believe this when I see it and if so Scott needs to be defending at center Gaz at 2nd row then reverse in attack.

Unless his defense improves exponentially, & the deal is fair on the club as first priority, don't want him back....

I reckon that he’ll come and one would suggest for match payments in 2010 with a back-ended deal given an impending cap rise for 2011 and 2012
I’m reliably advised (and it’s common knowledge I guess) that he really wants to come back to the club but that money is highly relevant
We know that his defence is an issue but I think that defence out wide was also coaching related and that, in combination with Nighty and under Bennett’s that these lapses could be mitigated.
In attack he not only is difficult to defend against, he also makes a lot of room and give Nighty additional opportunities.
It would be a coup for the NRL in these troubled times
I’d play Scotty at lock where his speed, ability to offload would come to the fore even more as would his usefulness as reliable one on one defender. Gaz, in our current line-up, would be the most exciting, attacking machine in the NRL.
Deano in 2nd row and Scotty at lock would perhaps improve our DH running capability when under pressure coming out of our red zone and while the opposition was on the back foot. It would also perhaps enable us to have a slightly higher rotation of our bigger guys.
Scotty is not too dissimilar to Timmins who’s move from centre to lock was perhaps one of Browny’s better tactical endeavours

I hope this story is true. If it had been printed in a proper newspaper rather than the rubbish excuse for one called the Telegraph, and by someone other than the known Dragon hater Rothfield, then maybe we could believe it. But until I see it reported in another part of the media other than this tabloid it will remain purely a sh*t-stir.
