nah luke to 7 mc innes to 9

no way should that happen. luke should not be moved. he is playing too good for him to be moved. we don't need to move him. we have better options. gi would go very well in the 6 and aj would go well in the 1 (the only bad thing about that is it weakens the outside backs a bit moving aj from there. i don't think i would want sutton in the 6 during the finals, but if reynolds is able to come back before the finals then sutton in the 6 will be enough for souths to win enough games to make the top 4 again, which has happened the last 3 years with sutton playing mostly five eighth. then hopefully reynolds, turner and auva'a will all come back before the finals and the team will go up another gear or 2. i trust madge to make the right choice. if he goes gi in the 6 and aj in the 1 then maybe manuleleua will go fine on aj's wing. atleast madge has some good options and it isnt panic stations yet. a win against the cowboys will give the whole team extra confidence. big game coming up

I love watching very good RL but I don't like being tortured under any circumstances!

We all like very good Rugby League but it's not always like that. Sometimes it isn't pretty especially when injuries strike and it's very frustrating.

Millard at centre is annoying me for example with the way he can't tackle one on one, can't read plays in defence and comes way in, gets pushed back making hit ups and knocks the ball on.

I will still watch all games though even if Souths were playing like a rabble.

The least amount of changes the better. If what the mole says is right (Reyno out for 6 weeks) we should just chuck Sutto in the halves. If we start putting the games best fullback at 5/8 or one of the games best Hookers at Half it will ruin the whole team cohesion. Band Aid solution is all that's needed here IMO

Agreed, good points there.

Good points. I'll be heading out to the Cowboys game but Thurston is obviously a major concern as he could have a blinder of a match.

I trust Madge too with whatever he chooses.

Double that.

R20, if you had to choose between Millard and Reddy in the team, who would you take? ATM i'd have to side with Millard, I'd rather be safe with him than have Reddy make stupid mistakes. Both need some time in NSW Cup but I certainly don't hate them.

The side looked more dangerous when GI went to 5/8 and AJ to fullback.

I agree 100%! Isaac Luke is arguably our most important player. He constant scoots from dummy half allow our forward to rumble forward and get the opposition defence on the back foot. As for Sutton at no.6, I think that would be a backward step; I think he is just too limited to play in the no. 6 role. In any case, playing him in the back row is not that much different to what he does at five-eight anyway; he predominantly hangs around the left hand edge when he is in the back row and he did the same when he played at no.6; I thought that was one of the main reasons why he was move out there.

At 5/8[in the halves]you need players who have the ability, the football nous, speed & acceleration to create with smoothness & swiftness to the outside men----Keary is getting very rapidly to this type.
JS,although a terrific & skilful player;is basically too slow & cumbersome to be able to provide the abovementioned. He probably has only one of the above skills in any reasonable substance;that being ball playing ability & nous.Unfortunately for JS he has none of the other necessities, which tends to dumb-down our team considerably when he plays at 5/8!!

BUNNIES CATCH A BREAK?

NRL Rd 5 - Bulldogs v Rabbitohs

Adam Reynolds won’t get to see a specialist until Tuesday due to the Easter long weekend – but there’s a big chance his knee injury isn’t as bad as first thought.

Souths officials and medical staff were all doom and gloom immediately after their controversial win over the Bulldogs, believing Reynolds would need knee surgery and could miss four to five months.

But Reynolds has gained more movement and flexibility in the knee over the weekend and is telling mates it feels much better – and there is a real chance he won’t need surgery.

If that is the case, he could be back on the paddock in a month in a massive boost to the Bunnies.

We play

We can win all those games without him imo

R20, if you had to choose between Millard and Reddy in the team, who would you take? ATM i'd have to side with Millard, I'd rather be safe with him than have Reddy make stupid mistakes. Both need some time in NSW Cup but I certainly don't hate them.

I would keep Reddy and drop Millard. Millard is very weak in defence at centre and struggles to tackle one on one. Millard lets his opponent get an extra 8-10 metres until help from another player comes to finish the tackle.

Millard comes way too far in at centre sometimes he's right next to Reynolds not too far away from the upright. As Millard comes way in, that forces Reddy to come in and makes Reddy look bad when the opposition score. But it was initially the fault of Millard who rushes in field when there isn't a need too.

Millard also gets pushed back a lot when making a hit up. Opposition drive him back about 6 metres most times. Millard doesn't have any leg drive when making a run.

Millard also drops the ball a lot.

Reddy can at least make a one on one tackle. Against the Bulldogs he tackled one of their players by the legs and gave them no extra ground. Reddy when making a hit up has leg drive as well and can get an extra couple of metres.

I also think Reddy is a better winger and defensive centre than Millard.

Reddy struggles under the high ball though and throws forwards passes regularly, it's like he panics when he gets in a bit of space.

Reddy tries to force an offload in our own 20 like Millard does and there isn't any need too.

Overall they both nearly give me a heart attack. When they both get the ball I nearly have too turn away and when they play the ball I clench my fist hoping they don't drop it.

Millard does make more mistakes than Reddy which is why Madge had Millard as 20th man earlier in season. Madge knows Reddy is a bit better but if we had the depth they would both be at Norths.

Millard on the wing wouldn't work either as he is slower than Reddy.

When Dylan is back Madge will most likely put Dylan with Reddy. That works well as Dylan helps to disguise and protect the deficiences that Reddy has.

I personally don't think Dylan could protect the deficiencies of Millard on the wing.

Apologies for the post if it's a bit muddled.

Yeah we can win them all.

I would take 3 wins though out of the next month. No games are easy as we know. As Madge says "if you don't turn up ready to play you will get burnt".

Let's keep hoping:D

Let's hope the specialist has good news after assessing Adam and doing tests on Tuesday.
