Not on a high horse at all. For a long time I'd had a major problem with fat athletes. A terrible look for the sports they play and completely beyond my understanding because if I was paid to play sport like them I'd treat my body like a temple to make the most of my opportunities.

Could you get any dumber? Parramattas problems have nothing to do with money. They have money. Financially they are miles ahead of a club like Cronulla and they're still going terrible because they're not making good football decisions. It is not a lack of money.

And that extra 4 million Melbourne gets does not give them extra capspace. They have the same capspace as everyone else. They got phenomenally lucky with Slater and Inglis and Smith. They could go years without finding another player like that.

Your horse is so high at the moment its a joke...but hey, your team is winning so your high is understandable if not as annoying as all your other 'expert' opinions

Tell that to the guys that make millions from darts, or sumo wrestling...who the f*** cares about what you have problems with...this one is the least of them whether you recognize it or not.

Luck had nothing to do with it ffs...it's called talent identification and the Storm have been exceptional at that for some time. Why do you think Souths have a big contingent of Storm players in their roster - because Madge is smart & he knows that

Yeh I could call myself Bunniesman and drop my iq by 90%!

There is no coincidence the richest clubs have consistently been the strongest performers. Sure there will be blips like Broncos this year but how many times have broncos not made the playoffs?

Souths, roosters, Melbourne, bulldogs will be in the playoffs more than out as they are the richest clubs at the moment.

As for the suggestion the biggest/richest clubs pay the same as the others, whilst some clubs are looking for sponsors other clubs have the corporate ties to leverage these additions to the salary cap:

$550,000 Marquee Player Allowance - any or all of the Top 25 players at each club can share in payments made by club sponsors seeking to use a player’s intellectual property. These may be guaranteed in the playing contract

Unlimited - Players can earn unlimited amounts from corporate sponsors who are not associated with the club and who do not use the game’s intellectual property (no club logos, jerseys or emblems) provided these are pre-approved. These agreements may not be negotiated by the club as an incentive for a player to sign a contract, nor can they be guaranteed by the club.

I don't think the Storm would survive as also-rans. The NRL will know this and prop them up somehow for sure.

What rubbish. The Warriors have missed the finals and even been spoon contenders for plenty of seasons and they didn't get anything extra.

The Storm are not guaranteed a permanent position in the top 8. If they were that would go against the entire reason for having cap. A fundamental premise of the NRL is everyone has their time at the top and within a reasonable amount of time they'll have their time at the bottom as well.

What happens when Perth get in. Do they get guaranteed permanent finals contention? So lock in Melbourne and Perth for the finals every single year no matter what and have the rest of the comp compete for 6 spots?

The Storm are already propped up in a way no other club is. They get 4 million annually that noone else gets. But that does not guarantee competitiveness. Having 3 Australian internationals in their spine does.

When they go the Storm will go back to being a mere mortal team like everyone else. They'll have some years in the top 8 and some years in the bottom 8. They won't get extra bonus cap space and nor should they.
