NZ seems to be okay going from Tickettek? Maybe it depends what expectations there were for all the NZ matches, i.e that they sell out?

We have had no tests since 2014....and historically we get between 10-18,000 for games so I'm not sure what the expectations are.

My best guess is that 10-14,000 has been pre-sold....but its hard to gauge how much as been sold with the blocks not on sale.

Um.

So, the Corner bays on the Eastern Side ( 42, 12 and 13) are now on sale. They were not previously on sale, and are Category C seating.

Some of the Northern and Southern Bays are now unavailable, but I'm very doubtful they sold out. Bay 6 on the Lower Eastern is now available again.

Why is it so difficult for this Match to simply list consistently and without a change every 6 hours as to which seats are actually available?

presumably some Very Smart Marketing Strategy which the likes of us aren't privy to.
eg.
List expensive tickets first to be picked up by diehards
If they sell out... great, if not, gradual release of cheaper ones with news stories hitting about cheap tickets

I get the strategy of trying to heard fans into particular areas of a venue, however with the event this close and considering they are already committed to opening up all the venue (as they've sold into the 6x regions), I don't get why everything isn't just on sale now...

Surely it is better to have a scattering of people in some bays versuses no one... And they clearly aren't updating what is on sale in real time, so they'd be losing buyers when people look and see No Cat C's or other sections available.

The Lower Bays on the East look like Ticket returns as it is only a handful of tickets each time coming back on sale and they're all together... Personally not too concerned about them... Disappointed by the corner bays now coming on sale, had hoped they had already sold... Unfortunately they are quite visible in the TV arc do surprised they weren't put on earlier...

The North / South end bays which have gone off sale were about 80% sold before they then turned the back of the Bays into selling every second row...I expect they'll remain off-sale until the corner Cat Bs fill up...

At least the Cat As are finally going down... Only a few hundred left...

All these are possibly returned tickets from tour packages etc that weren't sold, I know when there are games at NIB in Perth we always wait until the Tuesday before the game and always get tickets on the half way, even when the games have been sold out.
Looks like there has been a small surge in sales today, minimal tickets left in Cat A and I would say that the unavailable bays in Cat C are actually sold out as there weren't that many left this morning.

I know this match is a little while away, but Australia v France in Canberra looks like it's had a surge...

Cat C's (End Bays) are pretty much sold out now, with only single seats left (or Bays are closed), been some decent movement in the Cat A's as well (although still a lot of held back seats in these areas). Cat B's in the corners have been selling strongly as well...

Similar to Australia v Lebanon at the SFS. Really strong sales into the ends of the ground, especially the Northern end, Cat A's picking up nicely as well.

Perth sales not looking great yet, plenty of seats in middle of main stand. Just got 5 tickets behind the sticks. They'd have been better selling the east stand out with cheaper seats so it looked great on tv. Price not an issue as south stand is only $20 adult ticket.

I seem to recall a tweet from RLWC's Brad Walter about 2 weeks ago saying Perth sales were going "gangbusters" ????

I don't think they're to bad, entire west side is pretty much gone, lower eastern is almost gone, lower southern seems to be filling as seats are now selling in the corner areas. The Northern end is General admission so that's where you'll get all the walk ups.
They must have released some more tickets in the upper eastern stand, as of last week they were selling in bays E227 and E230, now there seems to be some tickets available towards the back of E228 and E229. This games still 3 weeks away, it'll sell out by then. Looking forward to it, weekend in Perth with a round of golf on Saturday and the footy on the Sunday, bring it on.

I'm sure the world cup will be fine with crowds. There will be some big crowds and some games that disappoint. But I'm sure this will be one of the tightest RLWC on record and fans will rock up.

So I was looking at tickets for Aus vs England on friday. Pretty much most of the second tier on one side is still available for the ridiculous price of $140.

Surely we can expect a price drop. Also still 3-4 bays empty behind the goal posts for $80 a pop.

They have totally screwed up the pricing. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from rugby league.

Down to 1,363 for Port Moresby now.... hopefully the momentum continues overnight and into tomorrow...

Townsville has enjoyed a really nice surge today, going from only Bays 115 - 120 being near capacity a couple of days ago, to now 113 - 123 being sold our or down to single seats, plus most of Bay 314. Also been really strong sales into 303 & 304 surprisingly...

In Canberra, behind the posts in Bays 75, 76, 77 & 78 (Lebanon side) are selling really well, whilst 63 on the other side is well over half sold.

Melbourne is making some more movement. Pretty much 15 - 20 on the South End is gone and 36 - 40. All the Cat C's on the Eastern Upper are now gone, plus large chunks of the new corner Bays have also gone, leaving Lower 41 & 14, plus 72, 73, 77 & 78 as the ones still with significant inventory to move.

Finally in Auckland, in Cat 1's, there has been significant movement in 38, 39, 40, 32, 28 & 12. In Cat 3's, 42 and 36 are pretty much gone.

Hopefully now with Teams named, the sales keeps trending upwards...

So what kind of rough numbers are we looking at now with these games ?.
