Thurston to target our right side all night. If we can minimise his kicking game and stop the points bleeding on that side of the field we are in with a shot. There is also the chance to atone for that " snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" game from last year. That should be motivation in itself.

Looks like a good team list... and then you look at the opposition - and Thurston .

Gutherson and Takarangi are our weakness in defence. Foran's presence will help, but Thurston will see a weakness and keep exploiting it.

We'll be 0-2, which isn't too bad considering these opening losses were to the reigning grand finalists. Plenty of time to get back to a 50% win ratio and make the semis .

That game last year against them when we were a country mile in front with 10-15 to go and we lost still burns me. There is a score to settle but I don't share your enthusiasm just yet. If this game was played in 6-8 weeks time I would have a better idea of where we're at. In the meantime the Eels need to start playing to their potential and get some confidence happening. I'm not a death rider by any means but if we win on saturday against the premiers it will be a monumental effort.

Tentative. Given he was playing his first full game on the ground he busted his knee up on last year its understandable. He will take time to be fully confident.

Both he and Taikarangi were hampered defensively by the product who kept bringing them in. Foran is arguably the best defensive centre in the game and will help them immensely.

I'm not knifing him, I'm just pointing out that he looked uncomfortable against the Broncos. The Cowboys will have taken note and will pinpoint him in attack.
