Robbie Farah gone?

Who Farah will play with in '16 has over the last 24hrs become a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.

The media are having a field day with this deplorable saga.Personally I'd f**k Taylor of immediately as it's much more feasible for this cash strapped & public relations challenged joke of a club to remove this bum (replace with Toovey or Cleary)than to pay a quality veteran like robbie to play for the enemy.

It would be closer to the mark than "robbie is thy lord" posts.

Read the story, this prick's ego would see him destroy the club.

I don't really like Robbie. I can think of so many games when he could have passed it and didn't that killed us. I'm not buying the line that his ego is ruining the club though.

This is now a clusterf**k of a situation. I think we are better off with Robbie gone but only because we are paying him overs.

Will we also lose Moses and Brooks. I mean lets be honest they haven't proven that they are going to be high quality first grade players yet.

I think I'll just wait and see how this plays out.

At this point Brooks would be no loss although with Moses there is hope he will realise his potential but no savvy business in there right mind would renew or extend contracts of either of these two on anywhere near the generous money they are currently on.

In fairness to both I'd luv to see them play in a wt team with a pack that displays grunt & has a spartan work ethic & where there are none of the outrageous distractions we are constantly haunted & restricted by off the field.

Whoever decided to offer Brooks and Moses $600k a season should be taken outside and shot in the knee.
At least Farah is an elite level player, Brooks and Moses are still rookies who have yet to cement themselves as FGers.
1.2 million in cap space for teenage rookies WTF is wrong with this pathetic club

I'm not saying I'm a fan of Taylor, but Potter became a dead man walking as soon as he benched Farah for the 1st time, think it was a game at the Central Coast.

Its now hit the point with the Tigers that all i get from them is entertainment. The lol factor has kicked into overdrive.

If we sign Tiquiri on a big contract i will not even be surprised

I don't find it funny. Its pissing me off.

I think Taylor may actually be trying to turn things around but geez he is a muppet. Why not just work with Robbie until his contract is over. Still what idiot signed him for 4 years on top dollars.

Because if he kept working with Robbie for 2 years he knew it would be worse then this - That should prove how bad Robbie is that Taylor was willing to risk everything on what was alwasy going to be hugely controversial

Taupau didn't buy in to Taylor's blue print for the future and managed to get out a year early.

Robbie has had enough and Brooks and Moses are not sure if they want to hang around any longer than they have to. Remember the passion Brooks had for the club before having a year under Taylor?

The club statement that we made Taupau a competitive offer just shows that we will have to pay overs big time to sign anyone of merit while Jason Taylor is head coach.

The longer we keep Taylor the longer it will take us to return to the dizzying heights of being a average team instead of cellar dwellers.

Potter reportedly warned the board about signing Farah for no longer than 2 years but Mayer and co ignored his opinion,Brooks and Mosses are on massive overs for two rookies learning their trade,$600k per season for these two should really be spread over 4 seasons based on where they are atm in their careers. Again it's not the players fault that favourable contracts were offered to them but rather it reflexs poorly again of how dumb and desperate some of our board retention decisions have been.

I don't buy this one. I think it has been a bad decision and just another one in the JT list of bad decisions.

I honestly hope that Taylor can turn it around and we have a good year next year. All this drama though is not a good thing.

This kills me. Potter saw that Robbie was not worth top dollar and he got shafted. I still don't get why we got rid of Potter and put Taylor in charge.

No paying overs on players just reflects on what a complete farce the salary cap is . Do you really believe if we paid them average money clubs like the Rorters and Co wouldnt have paid double to get them.
Thats all it..pure and simple , we cant afford marque players so we have to develop them and try stop the f**king cheating clubs taking them . Until the NRL adresses this issue or Trig just buys the comp like other teams we will always be garbage and making up the numbers .

I come in peace and am not looking to cause conflict here but I completely agree with you about the Potter situation. From an external point of view, I thought Mick Potter seemed to be doing an admirable, certainly in terms of results, up until all that Robbie Farah drama started. I too am also baffled as to why the club appointed Jason Taylor - arguably the coach with the worst people skills in the competition; there was a reason why no club asked for his services ever since he got sacked by Souths!

What I am wondering is whether or not Jason Taylor is a dead man walking. There are quite a few coaches under pressure this year and the likes of the Walker Brothers - arguably the next cab off the rank in terms of sought after coaches, are going to be in high demand. Does anyone else think that the club will look to get rid of Taylor if result turn pear-shaped very quickly in order to avoid losing the Walker brothers to another club?

Could it be that Robbie Farah is just impossible to work with? I mean the last three coaches you guys have had have all had problems with Robbie Farah, what does that say? The guy has been a good player but he's a bad egg! As for four year deals, I completely agree. There are only a handful of players in the comp that I would sign on four year deals and Farah isn't one of them. Don't worry, its not as bad a decision as signing Tim Grant on a four year deal despite having spent the previous season prior to joining us playing mostly reserve grade.

The difference is though, Souths can afford to carry a dud or two and still make the finals. We can't.

If we re-sign Farah to a four year deal on the money he is on now, I think that will just about do me as a supporter.
