Has anyone else noticed that the photo of Robbie Farah that appears when you first open the Wests Tigers iPhone app has been replaced with a photo of Nofo ?

Buzz Rothfield's latest article has Farah linked with the Knights after they let Adam Clydesdale go.

Who knows how this potential 'opportune' vacancy at Newcastle may eventuate. I suppose the main bit is whether Farah is open to moving, bloody minded and wanting to stay and does Nathan Brown want his experience.

I hope he can move on but however things turn out 2016 season is looking less than rosy for WT. I really hope some of the junior talent can take the opportunity and Taylor's plans bear fruit but I'm not holding my breath waiting fir the results.

If 2016 is a year or further rebuilding, then Farah must be retained.

I don't rate Taylor, but I think he's giving the club the cleanout it needs. Too many years we've signed and kept on deadwood. If his legacy is a Brian Smithesque broom out that facilitates a period of sustained success I will be fine with that.

For what it's worth I chatted to someone's in Aaron Woods' social circle of high school buddies. He reckons Woods thinks Farah is a prick.

My Dog's hairdresser cuts the hair of a poodle that shares the same dog park with Keith Galloway's shitsu and he reckons Farah is a top bloke.

I think sources twice removed from the origin should be labelled as gossip as they are very rarely true.

Whatever the story is with Farah I just wish someone (and I don't give a f@#k who) would just make a statement as to what is going to be the case next year. Pascoe has said he will be with the club next year....OK, but in what capacity?

All this ducks and drakes is wearing thin. We are fast becoming, if not already, the laughing stock of the NRL. We talk about Taylor, if he is the problem the players will all be leaving in droves in the next few years. If Farah is the problem....Geezus, just piss him off. The drama this club creates is incredible.

If these two can't solve their differences they will f@#k this club for years to come. We do have a very talented crop of juniors that we are relying on. Everyone said 2016 would be our year, well 2016 is just around the corner.....I just hope the club, the players and more so the coach can get their sh#t together for the supporters sake.

Obviously Taylor is a muppet who stuffs a lot of things up. I just hope that he has learnt from his c**k-ups this year and we improve next year. I have no confidence about this though.

Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah on probation after club issues pre-season instructions

Daniel Lane
Published: October 9, 2015 - 10:00PM

Wests Tigers legend Robbie Farah has been advised via a letter from the club's new chief executive that he's effectively on probation and his ability to continue training with the club's NRL squad in 2016 depends upon his behaviour - and performance - over the next few months.
Farah was also advised by CEO Justin Pascoe he faced the ignominy of having his attitude and approach to pre-season training appraised by coach Jason Taylor and club officials at an especially convened meeting on December 22.
If he doesn't cut the mustard the veteran of almost 250 NRL games in Wests Tigers colours - and who has a $1.9 million contract with the club for two more years - will be told he can no longer train with the top squad.
Fairfax Media understands Farah was handed the letter on September 30 when he, his barrister Julieanne Levick and manager Sam Ayoub met Taylor, Pascoe, the club's legal counsel and chairwoman Marina Go at a meeting that was convened at the footballer's behest.
Farah wanted to be told to his face the reasons for the way in which he has been treated since it was reported in August that he was not wanted by Taylor. It's understood Levick found the reasons aired at the meeting by Taylor were based on hearsay and lacked corroboration.
When news of the September 30 meeting was leaked, Levick said it concerned "procedural fairness" because despite the speculation concerning the reasons behind Taylor's controversial decision, Farah claimed all he was told by the club was he'd play out his contract in the NSW Cup should he remain at the joint-venture club.
Pascoe, who assumed the chief executive's role after the drama erupted, wrote the letter that just before Christmas the club would revisit the issues that concerned Taylor.
It's understood Levick has also challenged the way in which the club has handled the situation, saying Farah hadn't received one breach notice to respond to Taylor's claims - as normal procedure dictates.
The Wests Tigers were also asked to explain if Farah's behaviour was of such a concern for club management why had they failed in their duty of care to consider Farah's welfare and take the appropriate steps needed to find out what was wrong.
While the December 22 meeting will decide if he can continue to train with the squad and challenge for a first grade spot, Farah was advised by Pascoe that the opportunity was still available for him to seek alternative employment should he wish to seek the opportunity to play elsewhere in the NRL.
While Farah's future is murky it was made clear in Pascoe's correspondence that the captaincy remains in question.
He was informed that as a result of Taylor's concern that the club should be looking to build for the long-term future, it had been decided that management would review both the captaincy and the leadership group within the club.

Being the silly season, I have avoided this site until today.

What a joke. Love to know who has gone to the SMH but would assume that it was Ayoub. A few standout pieces there.

It's understood Levick found the reasons aired at the meeting by Taylor were based on hearsay and lacked corroboration.
hearsay, gee how mature if that is the case.

Again if true, how out of his depth Taylor was or is and I guess the management of the club?

Pascoe, who assumed the chief executive's role after the drama erupted, wrote the letter that just before Christmas the club would revisit the issues that concerned Taylor.
So Farah does as he is told, says nothing to upset the coaching staff at all and what, just before Christmas he gets the all clear, is it as simple as that?

It's understood Levick has also challenged the way in which the club has handled the situation, saying Farah hadn't received one breach notice to respond to Taylor's claims - as normal procedure dictates.
Again, this shows how out of his depth Taylor was or is, welcome to the big league of management Jason.

I am so over this drama.

The essential bits are that Farah has an existing contract for a further 2 seasons, new eyes in the club (Taylor) doesnt like what he has seen of Farahs influence and attitude with the squad by the end of the season, he wants him out, the Board and new CEO support coach and his aims for the team. Farah is not required in the new scheme of things.

Agree that morally Farah should have been treated better in terms of 'approach to exit', however Farah has no right to force his way into the new squad if the coach doesnt want him and is not in his plans.

Pay him out and end this.

No doubt Taylor will be well and truly under the microscope in the 2016 season. I just hope that the KPI's were put in his contract. I suspect he has at most 1/2 a season to get it right. I'd love to see Toovey put in as an assistant in the interim to lock him in, if/when Taylor fails.

I cannot fathom why a club would allow a player such leverage in the first place.

It's getting embarrassing.but at least his shit stirring is on notice.

I know this all obvious, but it would appear that Ballin was a signing not for his ability, but to push Farah into the lower grades.

A while back it was revealed that the Players Union would get involved if a player like Farah was being forced to play lower grades when they were more than capable of playing in the NRL.

Now if the Union question Taylor over Farah playing lower grades, he can say "But I have an Origin quality hooker in the top grade"

Sure the counter argument is that Farah is a test hooker and a more recent and capped Origin player than Ballin, but that won't matter.

Farah to Superleague at the end of 2016. He'll earn a shit tonne of coin and carve up immensely.
