I know JT is not universally liked at the moment, but the guy was being a smartarse and got a smartarse response. What did he expect?

the tigers management and taylor deserve each other really, they're both as incompetent as each other. their board for failing to execute a plan when they decided to support their manager, and taylor for being naive to believe that his standing in the game + his attitude would win support of the fans.

The fan wasn't being a smartarse - he was a frustrated supporter, sick of seeing his club dragged down by poor decisions. If Taylor had any nouse he could have called the guy out and made a case for how his strategy was going to work. Instead, he basically agreed that he was wrecking the place. Jason Failure.

That PR challenged infantile Taylor is a dead man walking ! He will no longer be employed by WT beyond mid '16 !

Unfortunately for us the board is as ignorant as the coach so even as an optimist I still don't c much light @ the end of this endless & bleak tunnel !

You'd have to think that keeping Farah is a sign that Taylor is gone, since his whole strategy was based around flicking Robbie. I wouldn't be surprised if he resigns or is sacked before the start of the season and replaced by Cleary or Toovey. I don't see how he can remain as coach in 2016 with Farah there. I suspect the club also realise that is necessary to retain Moses & Brooks.

You weren't the guy in question, were you? He was being a facetious merkin and Taylor gave him lip back.

Like I said, I wouldn't mind seeing the back of JT either, but that little exchange is hardly reason to lay the boot in. He's been an abysmal failure in other areas and that's what people bring up?

No way Taylor will quit. He HAS to make the next 2 years a success for the club. If he doesn't the guy will be virtually unemployable.

Apology 6: WT apologises to its fans for being completely shithouse ALL the time. We understand that many clubs have moments of incompetence, but we want to apologise for ALWAYS being incompetent.

Apology 7: We apologise for re-signing Lote Tiquiri on a 4 year marquee deal. We understand that some fans are frustrated by this, but we are working on an agreeable outcome for both parties.

Apology 8: We apologise for forgetting to tell fans that we have re-signed Lote Tiquiri. As you are aware, there have been some exciting changes at WT to achieve success in the future at some point in time one day.

He will be sacked. And it'll likely be next season at some point.

I'd not be surprised if Pascoe is already sounding out Cleary if he hasn't already signed elsewhere.

It's looking that way. Unless we are 50% after our first 6-8 games I'd be shocked if Cleary isn't brought in. Plus penrith would be paying a large part of his contract which would help in paying out JT

It'd be nice if we got to take advantage of that for once instead of being the jokers paying some other merkin out. We're kind of nailing out nuts to the wall on the next coach though. If we hire Cleary and then don't let him see out his contract, we'll be poison for any kind of recognised coach and we'll be resigned to a future of hiring whichever failed or untested coach is desperate enough to take on the job with us.

So Taylor decided to play a power game against Farah, without knowing that Pascoe could potentially be doing the same to get his mate Cleary a gig.

Farah got what he wanted, but probably not how he wanted it.

Not sure if he's pleased with the outcome or just confused like the rest of us.

Never shit a shitter right?

Not over yet, Cleary has form moving on loved one-club players. It may still bite Farah on the arse.

Is that really how the situation would work? I would have thought that the Panthers just paid out Cleary for 2016. If he gets a job with the Tigers for 2016, he can negotiate whatever deal he wants, the Panthers won't be paying him anything to be coaching the Tigers, surely?? Cleary kind of wins the lottery in that he received payment for 2016 from both Panthers and Tigers.

It's not like the Farah situation where his next club would have been getting him cheap because the Tigers were having to pay the most of his salary. That doesn't apply to coaches. Unless I missed something during the parting of company between Cleary and Penrith?
