I agree, he has achieved everything in football and he should be satisfied with that rather than risk his health.
He can't help himself. He'll run out at Leichhardt in the last round

Liddle can trip him in the warm-up.He can't help himself. He'll run out at Leichhardt in the last round
You are right through , that's just the way he is . If we arent in contention for the 8 it wont bother me to be honest. He can't help himself. He'll run out at Leichhardt in the last round
We do have another one, called josh reynolds, and he has be shat on by all and sundryhttps://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...s/news-story/ef6fc2b9bb6f59ac8d9a79f0a12858ac
Retiring Wests Tigers great Robbie Farah admits he has been told by doctors not to play again but says he’s prepared to ignore their advice for an NRL swansong.
Farah is racing the clock to get back on the field before he hangs up his boots after suffering a broken leg two weeks ago.
With three games left in the regular season and the Tigers hanging onto their finals hopes by their fingernails, Farah has faced up to the fact he may have played his last game.
After his replacement Jacob Liddle suffered a season-ending ACL tear against Manly, the Tigers have been thrust into a dummy-half crisis with out-of-favour playmaker Josh Reynolds set to be recalled from NSW Cup to wear the No. 9 jersey against Newcastle.
But in a sign of Farah’s determination to turn out for his beloved Tigers one last time, the notoriously stubborn No. 9 has vowed: “I won’t die wondering.”
In a sign of his determination, he quipped: “If we’ve got to win to make the semis, I’ll cut it off if I have to.”
“At the end of the day it’s my decision but they definitely recommended that (he not play again).
“It’s just a matter of gathering the information from them as best I could and whatever risk I put upon myself is my decision.”
Pressed on whether he was endangering his long-term health just for one last game, Farah admitted playing again could result in further injury and surgery.
“If I do more damage, I’ll need surgery and pins put in,” Farah said.
“At this stage, the fracture’s not displaced so I don’t (need) surgery, it will heal as is.
“But you risk further damage if I cop another whack on it or get twisted in a certain way.”
If only we had 17 of him.
Agreed. Knowing our luck Robbie would get hurt with 2 minutes to go, ET goes to dummy half and passes it straight to Xerri who runs 90 metres and we lose in the final 10 seconds of the game.Robbie is a bit of a freak when it comes to recovering from injury. It would be great to see him play one more time at Leichardt but if Reynolds kills it over the next few rounds then we can't risk an injured Farah playing against the Sharks.
TBH though, if we lose against Knights our season is done
Great to see him putting back,'Good to be back': Robbie Farah set for Wests Tigers homecoming
Robbie Farah will make his return to Wests Tigers next year as a specialist coach as part of Michael Maguire’s staff.
A year after his retirement, Farah will take up his infamous ambassadorial role with the club and work in several sectors.
But most important will be the tutelage he offers to the Tigers’ young hookers.
The club’s most capped player will work under Michael Maguire a day or two each week, as the Tigers prepare for life without Harry Grant.
Jacob Liddle is expected to return to the No.9 after an injury-plagued 2020, while Jake Simpkin is considered a star of the future.
Farah attended a club meeting on Tuesday on the state’s Central Coast, with some Tigers players set to return to training next week.
“Hopefully now things ease off with the bubble and I can get more involved,” Farah told AAP.

“It was quite frustrating for me being outside the bubble this year because you sit back and watch on TV but you can’t get involved and help out in any way.
“Seeing the way the season went for the boys was quite difficult to watch.
“So to be back and involved now and help out where I can will be really good.”
It comes as Tigers officials prepare to meet with Josh Addo-Carr’s management on Thursday, to see if the Melbourne flyer will leave the Storm to join them.

Farah’s return is one of several.
Fellow veteran Chris Lawrence is expected to have some kind of off-field role following his retirement, with the Tigers putting a heavy focus on their old boys.
Farah’s ambassador role originally landed the Tigers in hot water in 2018, when they were fined and handed cap penalties for not disclosing the $639,000 offer on his original exit in 2015.
He opted not to immediately move into the ambassador position after last year’s retirement, initially planning to holiday overseas before COVID hit.
Instead, he often watched Tigers training from outside the bubble, before planning to come on board in 2021.

looks like Robbie is going to live in his favorite spot at lieghcart oval, the score board lolGreat to see him putting back,
yes its going to be hectic i tell you all, now we just need Benjie backGlad he took up the role, the club paid a penalty for it, would have hated for it all to have been for nothing.
Maybe it would not hurt to get some of those guys that played in 05 in occasionally to help out and give their views on what it took for them to become winners, rather than being continually regarded as losers.
Now that Benji has left the club and the other 16 are officially retired it will be interesting to see what the club does. The way they’ve always appeased fans is resigning them (I think 8 members of the run on team left the club and came back).
I fully expect 3 of the players to be wheeled out at our grand final luncheon when we miss the finals in 2021. That’s a go to move for the club, next year my money is on Daniel Fitzhenry, Anthony Laffranchi and Bryce Gibbs.
That's because the rank and file Wests fan is a casual fan. They advocate to resign our ageing greats but in the same breath whinge about the club missing the finals eight years straight. They are remedial.
The club has hung its hat on this one for 15 years.
