i really can't add anything to that list that i've listened to regularly...

as for hevydevy re: the bezerker.. yeah there are faster than bodom i guess when i really think about it.. but bodom are so damn melodic. i guess i'm a sucker for melody.. complex riffs and solos..

the truth to it all is that i've gone soft with age. it's sad but it's true. having said that the new megadeth album is pretty sick. the first track - sleepwalker is very SICK!

Ron J's first post is absolutely correct.

The only newish rock bands I like are Grinspoon, Jet, Sick Puppies and Nickelback.

The majority of the bands these days are emo/punk, hardcore or some nu-metal sh*tness.

I'm glad I'm not the only person on here who thinks the music scene has turned sour.
