Can't get over that fine, where does the money go? Back into the development of the game or something like that? Dodgy.

Big day.
At a guess
What do reckon $1000 to hire the room?
$9.00 schooners
Approximately 40 people??
6 schooners each $2200
Lunch $30.00 a head $1200.00
Spirits $12.00 each?? 2 each? $960.00

$256k lunch
Noice
Respect

Fines are way overboard.

At most it should be a $500 ticket for offensive behaviour. That's the max fine anyone else in NSW would get for the same thing.

Except the average person doesn't make hundreds of thousands of dollars or represent a club and its supporters and the NRL.

Doesn’t change anything Milk. That's the max fine anyone else in NSW would get for the same thing. Be it a millionaire or a warb.

It’s a ticket issued by the Police on a regular occurrence for the same offences the bulldogs players did.

It’s a $500 ticket, similar to that of a parking, rail or speeding infringement.

Unfortunately it does as soon as they sign that contract.

South Sydney were fines $20k for players getting arrested in America. This is overboard.
The journalists need to be looked into, they were the ones asking people to send photos of players on Mad Monday to a registered telegraph email.
If anyone can track down Andrew Websters article, it is brilliant, he takes a red hot crack at the Tele.
James Graham also hit the nail on the head, journos want more access to players but then end up doing shit like this in return.

Meh. It’s not the 90’s. Fines in line with the one manly copped a while back. Players want more money and want to link it to nrl revenue then pull this shit. If you can be photographed like they were then they deserve what they’ve got. No sympathy at all. Just do it in private ffs.

https://www.theage.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-wants-probe-into-gower-grope-claims-20051223-ge1gzx.html

The Nine Network reported that the 27-year-old had groped the woman and later became involved in separate heated altercations with both the former player and his son.

It was further alleged that Gower was kicked out of the official function, had walked around the resort naked and crashed a golf cart.

Gower also reportedly threw a knife at other resort guests before being kicked out of the official function on Sunday night.

Imagine Gower in 2018. Ha.

Kent is the first to whinge that players don't talk to media. Why would they when most of them are gutter level gotcha merchants. Webster was right.

That’s why it is frowned upon that behaviour, it sucks money out of the game.

As Ads said, do it in absolute privacy!

Dogs just lost Jaycar as sponser worth $500k per year, we should pounce on them
Jaycar announced at the beginning of the year that the 10 year deal was coming to an end.
I think they are restructuring their company as it isn’t performing as well.
More thorough journalism from the telegraph.
