Poor Semi is going to Rugby but he still doesn't even know league rules. How will he learn their bloody rules.

Look so far 3 different people on 1eyed Eel have chosen Norman-Matagi-Kaysa as their 3-2-1.

What do you think Strider?

Manly with little ball had looked far more dangerous. Our tries have been both lucky and not properly constructed.
Havent seen any inroads from our team. And attacks been worse then i imagined.
Forwards been tough in defense but bar Manu the hit ups have been soft.

If we walk away with 2 points id be happy but we arent doing a lot.
Don't forget we are a team that attacks on the edges. Or at least the left edge anyway. Today wasn't the weather for that sort of game.

Our forwards' hit-ups were soft?

What???

I counted half a dozen times when Matagi, Brown, Mannah, and Alvaro were BELTED running the ball up, but they held their ground.

I think it's very harsh to say that our forwards ran the ball softly.

Our defense is what our game is built on yes but I think it's far to early to be dismissing our attack.

We have plenty of attacking weapons in our side, I won't cast judgement on our attacking prowess until about round 10.

Once Normy and Guth along with French and kaysa keep playing better we will grow and grow. Throw in Semi, Jennings, Hoffman etc points will come slowly.

For everyone talking up Matagi (and he played bloody good!!) he made 149 metres and 19 tackles ........... ....Mannah made 173 metres and 29 tackles!!!
I think Mannah is an excellent all round forward, mostly due to his mobility and workrate. But Matagi is a better attacker, despite fewer metres. He had three tackle breaks in 14 runs - a measure of how much he disrupted the defence. It's not easy to break tackles in the middle. Mannah only had one in 18 carries.

But Mannah is massively important to our team. He is the only middle forward who is a big contributor on both sides of the ball.
