If our backline clicks could be ugly for the Warriors … not overly confident but just enough to see us jag a must win as next week the Panthers will be a very tough one at a near full house Kogarah ..

Game day!!!
Cannot wait, I’m actually nervous, it’s been ages since I cared about footy.
Let’s go Dragons!
Same Crush.
Been watching the clock since 6am!
No idea how we’ll go and certainly not confident any more after the last 10years but got to say I’m excited after what I’ve seen in the trials.
Boys will need a good work out to build into next weeks game.

I had a dream we dominated this game.

I really believe in our young guns. Sloan, Amone, Sullivan, Ramsey - the most exciting prospects we've had for a long time. It's their energy and skill that will take us to a new level this year. Our forwards, whoever hey are, typically give it their all to start the year so expect much the same. They'll lay that platform for Hunt and the young blokes to bring some devastating attack and spirit to run rings around the Warriors.

Bring it on. The forwards clash should be a beauty. Match fitness to play an important part.

The team that can play with fewer mistakes and for the full 80 minutes will be the winner.

Defence is the key as shown by those teams that have already won so far.

Our forwards need to run at gaps all day. Effective second phase play and movement of the ball as much as possible to players running onto the ball but defence is the key.

Goes to show trials mean nothing some times.
Look at the Donkeys last night compared to when they played the Cows two weeks back.
Maybe Souths are just sh!t this year so perhaps Charity Shield win wasn't as good as we thought.
Maybe I'm just a tad nervous and reading too much into everything.
Nikorima always plays well against us.
Warriors in both games last year barely made an error.
No Lodge, Hsrris and Walsh means we should win. There pack still looks massive.
Danger Signs Will Robinson.
Play the ball properly please guys.

Quick note to Hook.

At Magic Round last year you had the opportunity to watch a couple of games before the dragons played and saw that the refs were targeting head high tackles. Obviously neither you nor the players got the message and you know what happened. Now last night you saw what the refs are targeting in round one - the play ball. One only hopes you have communicated this to the players.

Giving more possession to the opposition means our players defending more and making the players tire quickly. Limit your mistakes boys but play with plenty of intensity. Make the Warriors do more mistakes and keep the pressure on all of the time.

Agree Henry.

Remember, it all started before we played. It's not that black and white however, I'm also hoping more attention will be given.

High hopes for tonight but it's only round one, looking for a good defensive performance. I'd usually pencil in a win for the home team but it's not in NZ and it's us so, Dragons to win.

I'm over the moon that the club is in a position that players don't have to start if not fully fit.
