Fulton has played a few games at 5/8 for the tigers and quite a few in the super league. As mentioned he is probably there as he is a good defender especially as cover defence. If we play a compressed defence to hold the Souths pack we need someone a bit wider who can cover that extra space. His goal will probably be to get on Sutton early and shut down his running game. He can also take a few hitups that Blair will likely shirk and does run some good lines out wide. Has no kicking game that I am aware of which means Siro will have to take up some of that or it will be entirely down to Farah. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of Fulton at dummy half to Farah at acting half.

Same bog average side. The demotion of Marshall to the bench restricts our kicking options. Is there any evidence that either Fulton or Sironen can kick a ball? Farah, as usual, will assume the majority of responsibility in that regard.

Spence is Luke Isakka, Trent Runciman, Rocky Trimachi, Dane Morgan reincarnate. The fact he is nearing 5 first grade games is proof that a lack of talent, size, stamina and intuition is no bar to selection if you have the right attitude.

Benji's kicking game worked wonders last week... f**k him, I'd rather have a team out there that will put their hand up and have a go and suffer in the short term without Marshall. He was f**king abhorrent last week and I really don't think he will do any better than the likes of Sironen or Fulton.

Marshall can't kick for shit. He should be banned from ever kicking the ball.

I do agree with you on Spence though. I think he's the worst player to have played for us in the past five years. I don't understand how he keeps getting picked.

Apart from Burgess bros. that pack is full of nufties....not even as huge as people say.
But they do have a solid system going where everyone knows their role and are cohesive.

I remember when a depleted Souths played the tigers a few years back and caused a major upset, I wouldn't lose hope, Souths are a clinical side, they play in a very solid structure that doesn't discriminate against the top teams or the bottom teams. The tigers only need to lessen their mistakes and errors and kick deep, Souths being structured will play out their sets and kick, they will wait for a error or penalty to get field position. Tigers need to stay disciplined and surprisingly the score will not be that far apart, Souths game plan is not designed to demolish teams, it's about forcing errors, penalties and playing for field position and possession, go the distance with them and there is a chance. As for size, they are huge, not just their forwards but their backs, Sutton is 6 '4' GI is 6'5' Champion is 6'3 and Goodwin is 6'2.

Marshall is the most consistent kicker in the league as he puts every clearing and attacking kick over the dead ball line. His teammates know instinctively to form their defensive line on the 30m line and wait for the restart.

By saying Marshall was a kicking option I only meant that he could physically kick the ball. Fulton, on the other hand, has barely put foot to ball even during his stints in the halves. To tell the truth, I'm not expecting much. Chris Lawrence set the record for the most ungainly kicking style ever when he played 5/8 last year.

Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma will make his first grade debut against South Sydney on the wing on Friday night.
Nofoaluma will replace Matt Utai who failed an injury test with a lower leg cork on Thursday morning following a collision against the Sharks in Round 9.
Nofoaluma, a Campbelltown junior, won the U20s championship in 2012 after representing the Australian Schoolboys in 2010.
Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter told the Wests Tigers website he is looking forward to Nofoaluma's performance on Friday night.
"David is an exciting young player," said Potter. "He'll get his chance to test himself against the best this week.
"He's a youngster with plenty of potential as we saw during last year's successful U20s season and he's backed that up against this season."

Now we need to shift Nofo to Centre next week, Reddy out and Big T or Fine in to the right wing and we have some strike power and speed

Yeah Reddy is really the only slow player in that backline tomorrow night.

That is, until Lawrence walks back into the side.

Don't start me on Lawrence.

I can see the benefit in keeping and fine tuning Ayshford on his tackle breaking ability alone but unless Rowdy gets a miracle cure I cannot see the benefit of him in the squad.

Does Gentle need a centre at Hull?

Can anyone shed some light on the Tuqiri injury?? It still says indefinite for his return. Why are we paying his contract if he doesn't pull a jersey on and the whispers I've heard are saying he will retire at seasons end? What a waste of a couple of hundred grand!!

He has got every right to collect his money. Thats the risk of giving someone a contract.
Cant blame Lote.
