Yet another Sunday arvo game . Why can we not play all our matches on a Saturday afternoon at a more reasonable hour of say 2pm or at the latest 3 pm when rugby league was meant to be played - in daylight hours , not the middle of the night ?

And don’t give me any of that mollycoddling that it wouldn’t be fair to the other 15 teams , the Broncs are still playing their Friday or Thursday night matches with the rare appearance on a Sunday .

Rant over . :rage:

Is 4:05PM on a Sunday the middle of the night?

Or go out early Sunday and be home at 4pm for kick off. Win win
No all good. I have been lucky with these games being on at 4.05pm. We have been going out earlier and coming home for the game and doing it again this Sunday as well. After being together for 30 years now, she is used to this. Just wish that she yells and cheers the boys on like I do. Can't have everything though.

I'm thinking we will be in this game on Sunday and could just jag a win. We love playing at Suncorp. Hook and Gentle know the ground and our players will lift.

Kerr has some decent late footwork and can turn and offload mid-tackle. He is also surprisingly good at contesting attacking kicks for a forward.

It's a shame because he can be good but I don't think we will see it consistently at the dragons.
Yes he can contest the attacking kicks but he cannot hold the ball.

Kerr is a waste of time, as a backrower.
No speed off the mark. No speed, in lateral movement, in defence. Can't catch a high ball. Can't catch a
Pass... Put him back where he belongs, the front row...:dart:
If we get a couple of backrowers he won't be anywhere. ...

Although my main beef was it was another Sunday match - the very last game of the round , I was also referring to the night games Draginzaaar that are played , much prefer day matches , but then I do realize that there are many fans who do prefer the night games .

I do think we have a real chance v the storm this weekend.....I think they have provoked us by excluding a number of their gun players which will undoubtedly lift our team...

Dont be surprised we do the business on these guys this weekend...then the inevitable they were undermanned will be trotted out..

Melbourne Storm vs St George Illawarra Dragons at Suncorp Stadium, 4.05pm

Storm team: 1. Nicholas Hynes 2. George Jennings 3. Reimis Smith 4. Justin Olam 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Ryley Jacks 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Kenneath Bromwich 10. Christian Welch 11. Late Mail: Star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen has been named on the extended bench and is likely to play if he can get through the captain’s run on Saturday. Papenhuyzen told SEN on Friday his “shoulder should be all good it’s been all week now probably abit of carry on.”

Dragons team: 1. Matthew Dufty 2. Max Feagai 3. Jack Bird 4. Tyrell Fuimaono 5. Mikaele Ravalawa 6. Corey Norman 7. Ben Hunt 8. Blake Lawrie 9. Andrew McCullough 10. Paul Vaughan 11. Josh Kerr 12. Mate either way under strength they will still be hard to beat .... I for one wasn't impressed with last week's game .... The first half of football was one of the worse I have seen .....

We will have to bring the intensity or it will be all over in 30 minutes. Line speed needs to re emerge. They are just a far superior team with superior coaching, even with some big outs. They'll have us back pedalling if we don't come to play. Agree, hold the ball but we will have to try some second phase play so as not to be too pedestrian in our Norman led attack.

Amone will be a late inclusion, heat starting build on Norman

That will be OK with me mickey , anyway that we can beat them will be fine .

I noticed that the ref in the Knights/ Tigers game have been enforcing the foul play rule with 4 players sent to the sin-bin .( it would appear that Robinson’s whinge to the judiciary has had the desired result )

If they are genuine about this then the Dragons should be receiving penalties left , right and center , which will certainly help our cause.

He has some attributes but i like others think he is being played out of position the storm will kill us if he is edge forward on the weekend their left edge is lethal put him back where he belongs in the middle or reserves.
