Obviously a bit of a protest from Kikau - when you get tired of being the panthers only game plan in attack. 'What - do I need to be our game plan in defence as well? - F**k you guys'.
I saw it as thinking 3 guys had the bloke wrapped up so he should get back in the defensive line.

Understandable IMO. Who would've thought 3 guys could be carried 15 metres across the try line that way?

In hindsight he would've been better off joining the tackle.

If it's true that a champion team will always beat a team of champions - you gotta keep coming back to the coach. The better coaches can do things with lesser quality players.

How about Cleary bringing in Nigel Plumb for some tackle coaching?

Imagine having Plumb, a humble, no-nonsense guy, who gave his heart every week - and who wasn't able to take any pain-killing medication (if I remember correctly) - putting to shame - buthopefully inspiring - this current first grade pack.

Yes, I did see it that way too. - that they had the guy wrapped up. But you'd be wondering what Kikau is thinking in general.

Cleary & Maloney have had more than enough decent ball this year to do something, anything. Pointing the finger at both Hooker’s is a cop out. If anything the lack of creativity or penetration is compounding the pressure on our inexperienced 9’s.

Yep, bus the team down to Wagga for some sheep tackling.

I've come to the conclusion that we can't be that shit.

Players are being blackmailed over more videos.

We have to be deliberately playing like shit.

It's the only thing that makes sense.
Some of the ridiculous mistakes seemed deliberate, which can indicate that the players are spitting the dummy.

They needed a coach that could take the players to the next level. Not a coach who was signed because they feared the half would leave.

Nobody deliberately drops balls or makes mistakes. They may deliberately give away a penalty depending upon the circumstances. To suggest otherwise is offensive.

I agree but it’s likely the board has completely screwed the club with Ivan’s contract, it wouldn’t surprise me if the contract contained a clause such as if he was Sacked he would receive every cent that he is owed on his 5 year contract, that’s 5 million down the drain and don’t forget we’re probably still paying off Griffin.

We are in a big deep hole then.

The way the game is moving these days I believe Hooker is the 2nd most important position after a decent halfback or 5/8.

Look at the top teams.
Cronk/Friend
Reynolds/Cook
Munster/Smith

The teams down the bottom us, Titans, Bulldogs and Cows have average or lousy number nines.
I realise they like us have other issues, but these days you don't find too many sides down the bottom of the ladder with a gun hooker.

It shows in the premiers of the past few years.

Cronk/Friend
Cronk/Smith
Townsend/Ennis
JT/Granville (don't dismiss Granville he had a killer 2015 season)
Reynolds/Api
Pearce/Friend

Katoa don't cut it and Egan is still too green to play 80 week to week. They are a big part of the problem right now along with the halves, the lack of punch from the middle and the lack of attacking structure from the coach.

Not even hooker. Can get by with an attacking FB

You might find it offensive - but people are human and people blackmail. Not exactly the same but when Craig Fitzgibbon played his last Roosters game, the boys wanted to win it for him. So at half time Roosters are up about 16-0 (or something like that). So, 2nd half, lo and behold, some players start 'missing' tackles and making mistakes. Roosters lose 32-16. Even Craig has his suspicions. Read about it here: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/a-fishy-finale-to-the-roosters-sad-season-20090926-gdtqlg.html or google A fishy finale to the Roosters' sad season

Maybe in the bad old days, but not these days. Too much scrutiny. Blackmail is certainly a big claim!
